2007 Reprint of a 1904 Textbook

This is a totally obsolete book that frankly, was misrepresented by the seller. If you are not aware, there is a gray-area, cottage-industry, book mill which takes out-of-copyright books and reprints them --including library marks from the copied book. They then advertise them as a "current" printing. 2007 is hardly current for a 1900s technical text that is about 100x obsolete owing to technology advances in qualitative mineralogy since the book was originally printed. No where did the seller disclose this was a reproduction of the 1900s textbook.

There are some line drawings but nothing for use in optical mineralogy techniques of today.

This book is not even good for a firestarter as the paper it was printed on is poor quality as well.

Repoduction of a 1900s text NOT a 2008 Revision

Review For: Introduction to Optical Mineralogy and Petrography by M. G Edwards (2008, Hardcover)

This text has never been revised from its 1904(?)original release. This 2008 printing is a book mill scam where and out-of-copyright text is copied-- including library marks and smudges to be offered as a ""current" reprint. The failure to disclose this and the inclusion of a "current" print date is less than honest. This text was obsolete in the 1920s.
