Although they are not horror films, these four features showcase the golden years of Hammer Films. Three of them feature Christopher Lee in non-monster roles. The two Christopher Lee pirate films are cool, showing that dealing with pirates was not as much fun as the Johnny Depp films would have you believe - one features the first piranha attack in film history. The tong thriller, TERROR OF THE TONGS, though not a Fu Manchu film, is a better Fu Manchu-type thriller than the Jess Franco/Christopher Lee Fu Manchu films. THE STRANGLERS OF BOMBAY is pretty intense subject matter for that period in film history, and I remember how much it freaked me out when I saw it as a child. Four great adventure flicks from the Hammer archives in very good transfers. Don't be afraid,,,dive in!
I am a advid hammer productions collector and fan. This was a great find. Lots of old movies on this DVD that were previously hard to find. Will be looking on e-bay for other titles in the same genre.
