Humminbird 570 Fishfinder

The down imaging is really great, helps you see down underneath your boat and what fish are hiding in. I really like this fishfinder. Should have spent a little more for the color imaging. Helps with finding the best structure for catahing more fish.

I am very happy with this fish finder. I mostly fish for catfish on a river and this helped me find a great fishing hole on my first time out that I never knew existed. The down imaging is nice, shows great structure detail and will occasionally show fish if they're big enough. The river I fish has a lot of spoonbill which can get quite large and they show up on the down imaging. The traditional sonar works great and I have seen a lot of fish and it has helped me understand where the fish like to hide in the river. I don't recommend a down imaging only fish finder if you're looking for fish because sonar is the only way to truly locate them. Side imaging is the best, but it's out of my price range for now. I have had no issues and have zero complaints with the 570DI and would buy one again. The price point can't be beat for what you're getting. I shopped a lot before I picked this fish finder. I was hesitant because there weren't many reviews out there, but I'm glad I took a chance. Hopefully some day I can afford a Humminbird 1198...
