The best thing about this phone is how cheaply it can be had off ebay. The second, and the thing that makes it worth buying for me is that it can be imaged with CyanogenMod, which makes it so that it can be used without any of the restrictions of the original OS. I use it as an IP phone / GPS Navigation System / PDA. All without needing a service contract.
I can't speak to the cell phone capabilities as I simply don't use them.
The capacitive touch screen while being single point is very responsive.
Don't get me wrong this in no iPhone, it's a little slow doing CPU intensive stuff, and it doesn't have a GPU which means even though I'm running Android 2.3.4 I can't run flash. But it does play video nicely if in the right format and most games, Angry birds is a little slow but it does play well enough to be fun on this thing.
So the big deal for me is value for the money. I couldn't find another phone under $100 with android 2.3, GPS, capacitive 3.5" touchscreen G-sensor and WI-FI. And I got mine for under $50
WIFI BLOWS- does not stay connected for longer then 30-50 seconds. huge problem. there apparently was an app that fixed this but the android market banned it. MOTHER F**KERS
GPS- lags hard
HEADPHONE JACK: stupid .2mm, a normal(standard) headphone jack is .3mm, you have to use thier 2$ crackerjack headphones or buy an adapter.
BATTERY- if you use the internet do not expect the batter to last longer then an hour.
POORLY CONSTRUCTED: back is held on by flimsy clips. everytime the phone is dropped the back and battery will fly off. even on carpet.
EBAY APP: awesome.
MEMORY CARD: takes up to 16 gig flash card. (really only 5gigs are useable. anything above that and the phone cant get anything done. thats still plenty of space for music)
MUSIC PLAYER: awesome (cannot edit tracks)
INTERNET: works suprisingly well. 3g is awesome when service is available. even the 2g is fairly fast.(2g is alot fast then wifi because of aforementioned problem)
CAMERA: 3.2mp works great WITH good lighting. however you cannot move at all and the no flash is a poor design.
It's absolutely the best you can get for such a small amount of money. I'm using it with cricket, and only pay like $55/month for data service, with unlimited texting and calling. The one problem I had is sometimes there is an issue sending picture messages between other cricket phones, but I'm pretty sure this is a cricket issue not this phone's. The one minor problem is that the headphone jack isn't big enough to fit standard headphones, but it's not too big of a deal. Also the camera isn't very great quality, but it's not like I didn't know that before I bought it. So, overall, a great purchase.
This is the best phone I have ever owned. My husband just switched over!
Pros: VERY decent priced since not a lot of people know the name. Great battery life compared to the other smart phones capable of the same features- I can actively be using this phone, and wont have to charge it all day. Works great! I had an I-Phone for a while, and this works AS good, if not better!
Cons: Keyboard can be hard for men to type on. Definitely something they need to get used to. Personally, I have no complaints, but my fingers are a lot smaller than my husband's!
Good phone suits my need now to get the second one :), good fast not the best phone for games but i dont really play them much good for music and travel, easy texting and multiple type of keyboards, idk what else to say this phone is great for the money buy it if you have less then $50 to spend on a great android phone
