Awesome! If you're uneducated, give the business to a pro shop.

This bow is awesome; light, accurate and super-fast. Hoyt quality can't be beat and they're on the cutting edge of innovation and technology, you would think something so light would be flimsy, but it is solidly built. Now we've all seen the big retailers selling bows online and in catalogs and there's nothing wrong with that, but there's a reason Hoyt will only allow their bows to be sold in pro shops. Most bows have rotating modules on the cams to adjust draw length, usually from 26"-31" which will fit almost any archer. There's nothing wrong with rotating modules; especially if you're new to archery, however the modules adrd mass to the cam which slows down arrow speed. Hoyt uses non-adjustable draw length modules, which means you will have to change out to the module for your specific draw length. Also; draw length can only be adjusted 2" up or down per the size of the cam that your bow is equipped with. For example; the Maxxis comes equipped with either a #1, #2 or #3 wheel(cam), the size of the wheel will determine the draw length range. Consequently, if you buy a bow with the wrong size cam for your draw length it could be a mess and you most likely would spend the money you saved buying online getting your bow operating correctly at a pro shop. I would recommend buying from a pro shop if you're new to archery; the knowledge, experience and customer service will definitely offset the price. An experienced archer, who knows their draw length and can read a tune chart will have a much easier time buying online. Hoyt requires an actual pro shop receipt to honor their warranty and will not recognize a bow that has been purchased online. I would send a message to a seller to see if they have or can provide a receipt and if the bow has been registered with Hoyt yet, Hoyt only honors warranty to the original purchaser, again the receipt must be from an authorized Hoyt dealer. Hoyt bows are on the high end of the price spectrum, but you get what you for and the price vs. value is right on. The only reason I gave this bow 4 out of 5 stars is the complexity of the draw length adjustment, if not for that I would have given 5 stars. The Maxxis is fast and very forgiving to flaws in your shooting form and that helps when "target panic" take over, especially at full draw. The above statements are my opinion, I'm not paid by Hoyt or a professional in any sense and I hold my Maxxis in high regard. If anybody should find themselves looking at a Hoyt on EBay and should have a question, please don't hesitate to send a message.

Great bow, not the fastest but one of the most accurate bows I have ever shot. This is the third hoyt bow I have owned and it is deffinately the most accurate. I was sckepticle about The 180 grip on the bow as I really liked the hoyt wooden grips, but the 180 feels better and sits in the hand much better. If you like hoyt bows you will love the maxxis 35.

This is one of the best bows ever made by Hoyt. Very light and no hand shock. Smooth drawing thanks to the roller guards. Hoyt makes awesome bows and the Maxxis is at the top of the list.
