I highly recomend this book based on true stories. It is more horrifying than any horror book could be because it's based on the TRUTH! Read it - it will keep you on the edge of your seat.

This is an excelent book that tells the TRUE story of Ebola's transmission around the world. This horrifying disease is highly contagious and kills 90% of the persons infected with it.

The book also covers the outbreak of Ebola-Reston in a monkey house the UNITED STATES! Thrill along with the scientist who identifies a mystery strain as Ebola and bite your nails in suspense with two scientist exposed to this potentially fatal virus. The Hot Zone Review

Review For: The Hot Zone : A Terrifying True Story by Richard Preston (1995, Paperback, Reprint)

This book is amazing! Richard Preston tells a true, nonfiction story, but the book reads like fiction! I'm into science and have a biology degree, so this book was easy for me to understand, but my mother is defiently not into science, and she still loved this book....Richard Preston is amazing...
You won't regret buying this book!

Phenomenal book

Review For: The Hot Zone : A Terrifying True Story by Richard Preston (1995, Paperback, Reprint)

This book was phenomenal. It goes into amazing detail about filoviruses. If you are any interest in ebola, virology, microbiology, or even if you just want a scary true story, then this book is for you. I could hardly put the book down. Talk about a page turner! The writing style is unique in that it moves easily from telling stories about people to hard science, and then to rather pretty descriptions of scenery and little details about the events. Five stars, for sure.

The Hot Zone

Review For: The Hot Zone : A Terrifying True Story by Richard Preston (1995, Paperback, Reprint)

Again, Richard Preston does a phenomenal job with this book. It's scary to realize how close the US was to the Ebola virus. The gory effects of how this disease effects people and how quickly the strain of virus can mutate into something else.
