this unit gets a bad rap from other reviews i have read about being hard to start. i followed the directions, mine started on the 4 or 5th pull right out of the box.
pluged in a 10 amp ciricular saw to test, reved up from the economy mode and worked perfect. also very quiet,can hold a normal conversation while next to it.
Loved this product. Is for home use and it's a nice size. Fast delivery, everything was there and ready. The price is good and I'm happy. If you're looking for a backup generator this would be the one. Loud when using power so needs better sound control. Took a few pulls to first start but then worked fine.
great generator for the money alittle heavyer then honda but is quite and little hard to pull start but all in all good buy..
Don't waste your money on this unreliable item. I thought based on the Honeywell name it would be a good value.....WRONG. Did not start, zero customer service and after reading other review, found that's pretty much the norm for this item. It's not made in this country, it's from somewhere in Southeast Asia, parts are hard to get and frankly it's just a piece of junk.
You are NOT saving any money in buying this, because you will end up returning it (like me and MANY others already learned), and buying a Honda or other brand. Yep, the Honda is twice as expensive but it works every time, it's easy to start and I can count on it. After all, whats the use of a generator if it won't start ?
Used once kept turning off from overload way below 2000 watts. A bit noisy and hard to start. Then it leaked gasoline. Could not isolate source. Then could not start it at all.
Returned for refund.
