Walt Disney Pictures HOCUS POCUS is full of zany, crazy and clean fun for the entire family. I watched this when it first came out in 1994 and added it to my October film fest every year since. It is a repeater. Always enjoyable. It is not too scary for small children and Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimy make great clownish witches in this flick. One enjoyable, October Halloween Movie for the kids and entire family, it is full of laughs and scary good fun, regardless if it is on VSH or DVD. A must watch for Halloween!!
A fun,Halloween themed movie from Disney with a good story line, interesting characters and good special effects (especially liked the talking cat). The movie is both exciting and comical with a bit of scariness thrown in for good measure. Bought it as a gift for the wife who saw it on TV and wanted a no commercial uncut version. Could not find a DVD version so got the VHS one at a terrific price.
I bought this product because it is one of my mother's favorite movies and I wanted to get it for her for Christmas. It only comes on once a year, during Halloween, and she has expressed interest in owning the movie for a while. I love this movie, and I have watched it for a good few years now, there isn't really anything I dislike about the product. It's a wonderful movie for children, and even adults. It's humorous, while also maintaining an air of mystery and seriousness. Lastly, the VHS version of the movie prolongs the feeling of old times sitting in front of the TV one a rainy day while watching movies.
THe tale of a new set of kids moving to a town and discovering the long dead Sanderson sister witches have come back . Comedy at its finest slight drama emotion a real clasic in a modern day age
I saw this movie when I was younger and just loved it! A great cast that does a wonderful job. Also a soundtrack that fits the movie perfectly. Three witches from the "old days" get released into modern times by a virgin named Max. Max along with his sister and friend try to find a way to get the witches gone for good. Also includes a talking cat (who use to be a boy), a zombie, and school bullies. Great movie for any ages!
