I am normally not a fan of any horror because I don't like gross out movies. This has just a few moments of gross gore. This movie is more a mental thriller as you follow these two characters and try to figure out who is tracking them and why. I love that the movie pulls not one big twist at the end but TWO. Some people may see it as three, but I saw the one coming. There is a LARGE amount of swearing and a gratuitous sex scene but overall I enjoyed the movie. I love thrillers that make you think and after the twist you smack yourself in the forehead for missing all the clues (ie The Sixth Sense, Secret Window) This does have a touch of Tarantino though thankfully not a lot. It is dark, I would compare the feel of it to The Butterfly Effect. I rented it at first because I am a fan of Christian Kane, and he does a fine job playing a man on the edge trying to turn back while part of him keeps pushing forward. Rachel Miner is amazing as well, and you can never give Beth Grant enough credit. I have never NOT enjoyed a movie with Beth in it.
If you are a Christian Kane fan, you have to get this movie. His acting was exceptional as usual. It wasn't a large budget film, but you just have to stay glued until the end. The beginning is a little slow, but once they get to the town, it gets really good. I wasn't expecting the ending at all. Usually I figure these things out quickly, but this one kept me guessing until the end. BUY IT!
I love Christian Kane that is the whole reason I bought the movie, I like the storyline about how he is trying to repent for his crimes but it is hard when he is reunited with his girlfriend. I bought the movie because Christian Kane is in the movie.
