Hewlett-Packard 443775-001 Motherboard

I live in a Community of 5000 Homes and work on Desktop and Laptop Computers. A fellow Computer Tech wanted me to take a look at this HP Laptop that was not working. All the lights came on no screen and no POST. I told him that the Motherboard had to be replaced. He did not want to invest in a MB, and gave me the Laptop for some other work I had done for him. I purchased this replacement MB, changed it out, and the HP Laptop came to life with no problems. I upgraded the HDD, maxed out the Memory, and reloaded Vista. The HP Laptop is running like new.....Great Motherboard!!!

I've had mixed experiences with this board. I've had a few that the video has gone out due to design flaw which is widely known across the net. The video chip has an inadequate cooling heat sink and probably should have had it's own fan. They could have at least added a copper shim as I do on all such repairs. I have fixed many by re-balling. Don't let people reflow your board with a heat gun, you'll just end up with the same problem again as it only provides a temporary fix.

But lately I've come across a new problem where the battery will not charge. Powers on, charger light comes on at the dc-jack, indicator says it's charging but no charge light on the front. I'm sure it's a voltage regulator chip on the board, but how many different problems can one series have?

I try to steer people away from fixing them but most like the computer itself. Personally I would not buy any of the dv-series again. I had a DV-9000 worked well and never had any problems but friends had total nightmares with the same computer. All in all, HP should have pulled the DV series along time ago. But here I go again repairing another dv-6000. Maybe I can mess with the damaged board now and figure out the battery not charging problem. I was hoping for the easy replacement of the jack or the USB/DC Jack board replacement...hmmm, never that lucky.

Product worked perfect. I do believe making sure
the motherboard is exact match made the difference.

Product was exactly as described. Has all the markings of an original HP motherboard. I took the fried mobo out and swapped this one in and it works exactly as it should. I would recommend this mobo to anyone who wants quality without having to sacrifice half their paycheck. Great for someone who doesn't want to buy a brand new laptop and want to squeeze another year or two out of their current one.

I bought it because I need it.
I like it because it was the best price on the internet.
I dislike HP because they build this model on a very cheap materials on a high price range so this means is a P.O.S.
Now I'm stock with this trash and broke, the vendor had this mother board OEM. So I had to buy it better than buying a new computer.
I will buy any other product and recomend from this vendor, HP can go to hell.
