The receiver is an excellent product and does everything that is needed for an in home threatre setup. It is relatively easy to use with the on screen menus and functions. It delivers great sound through the surround sound home threatre speakers. I would buy this product again.
This is an awesome receiver! Great picture upconversion on my 140 inch projector, and this is by far the best surround sound I have ever had. Awesome price and awesome quality, highly recommend.
After reading reviews about this receiver I decided to give it a try. Am disappointed with it so far. It is not as easy to set up as has been suggested. First off, if you can't get it to display on your television, it is very hard to follow the next steps. Finally got it to perform in a somewhat reasonable manner, but with difficulty in syncing with the cable and tv controls. Now it is canceling out the picture on the television and will only allow the picture back after you shut down the entire systems. Maybe it is because it is a refurbished unit. I was suspicious when I found the original operators manual with this unit and it had tech supports telephone number hand written on the inside cover. I will never buy another refurb unit again. What I saved in money, I have more then spent in aggravation. I suspect that this unit was never tested thoroughly, just quickly cleaned up and sent back out for sale. Not Happy.
do not buy the people who gave it 5 star work for the company or it hasn,t broke down yet.
this unit is a defect with the hdmi board, trust me i bought 5 of them and all went bad , it just a matter of time before the board goes out then they want 150 for each board
save your money
I'm running a Klipsch Quintet III and Sub-10, 7.1 setup and the sound is outstanding, as one would expect from an HK product. I have a 20x15 living room and the system is more then enough to fill the room. Overall the setup was pretty easy, once I determined that I had a bad HDMI cable, and was able to use the on-screen setup menu. I really liked the easyEQ and being able to rename the source names. There are a lot of options on the receiver and even though I'm a "techie" it was a little overwhelming. My one complaint would have to be the manual. There are very few illustrations to assist with the connections and the features could really have some more detail. I would also like to have some additional eq options as it only has bass and treble. Overall, an excellent product and I hope to get as many years out of it as I did my previous HK AVR.
