Some of the ideas may be a bit too advanced or complex, but for those who wish to have a festive environment, this is the book for you. As always, these are guidelines that can be adapted for anyone. For example, maybe you are not able to create a wreath from scratch. You might take an example and customize it for yourself. If you can't make a gingerbread house, make the ornaments instead. With easy-to-follow recipies and beautiful illustrations, anyone can use this book to make their home an inviting place for the holidays. Many other well-known personalities have their version of holiday decorating, but Martha Stewart maintains the classic good taste we expect from her. This is an excellent Christmas idea book that helps with decorating the inside and outside of your home. There are many wonderful recipes that would be great at Christmas or anytime of the year. The book is beautifully illustrated. There are several pictures of Martha and even her black chows (which are now deceased). The chapters include the subjects of wreaths and swags, cookie recipes and packing tips, stockings, ornaments including cookies and a gingerbread house with the template, gift ideas, candle making, wrapping including Martha's favorite bow, and lastly outdoor displays from lighting to swags and garlands. This is an wonderful book for the Christmas enthusiast! My book is a 144 page hardcover with a 1995 copyright. Martha is on the cover.
