Bought book with hope of finding some good information about using a hammock while camping. Was disappointed to find that most (if not all) of the information/tips/advice in it are readily available from multiple sources on the internet for free. In actuality, Ed has published most of the information in his book on the net himself....
This book was more a thinly (very thinly!) veiled extended advertisement for Speer Hammocks. Not faulting Ed for promoting his company---but don't do it by publishing a book that is supposed to be "A Complete Guide..."
The book is written in an easy to read, enjoyable style, but there just isn't enough substance to be worth the price.
Search You Tube and the various "hammock camping" forums on the web---the info you are looking for is there---now!
