Halo 3 All is great as long as you're live!

Let's face it. How much of this Halo 3 hype is really the actual game?. It's all live baby!.

Halo 3 has a really great campaign mode. It can get stale after playing through it a few times. But hey every game does right?.

If you have a gold live membership. Then thats where all the fun begins. Bungie offers custom game downloads in their favorites, file sharing options, take screen shots share them with friends and the bungie community. You even have your very own spot on the bungie site, with all of your stats and game history (So cool).

You can co-op the campaign locally or through live with a friend. Which is always a lot of fun, If you've been through the campaign a few times solo and you're getting bored with it. Then playing co-op brings the fun back into it. It gets really challenging once you've discovered all the skulls, and you enable a few while playing legendary. It turns a 6-8 hour campaign into a 19 hour co-op campaign.

Custom games like Infection, Capture the flag, are also great fun. Death Match, Team games and other modes online are really what make this game shine.

I give it a 4/5. The main reason for this is. After playing other first person shooters like Call of Duty 4, and Unreal Tournament. When going back to Halo 3 it feels sluggish. The controlls are a little tedius at times. It's just not as fast as the other games. Not saying thats bad. But when you go from clicking your left joy to sprint in Call of Duty 4 so much. Its kind of a habit and you try to make it work for Halo 3. It just doesn't!. Getting across the maps on halo sometimes makes you feel like you're going in slo-mo. Some maps require you use a vehicle. Or you're basically camping alone jack!.

If you play a lot of live. I'd definitely recommend this. If you've not yet played or have this game. And you're currently playing Call of Duty 4 or something equivalent. Its not going to replace any of those. It's a good game, but it isn't the best.
