This is a great phone for the money when it launched. I personally own one of these device. It has great potential even when it's not rooted. It comes with tons of features. It was one of the first few devices to boast the qHD resolution. It's dual core performance is more than enough for it be in the standard among phones for over a year or two. Which is a lot of time considering how cell phones are evolving. When rooted this phone unleashes it's power with overclock capabilities of 1.5Ghz to 1.7Ghz dual core. This overclock will depend on phone to phone as silicone quality will vary from phone to phone. It's has the capabilities to match almost to the samsung galaxy s2, if NFC and front facing camera's are not much of importance. It's unique unibody is great and having the battery cover as part of the antenna is quite clever. I also like the idea of not having to remove the battery to access the microsd card.
I've done alot with this phone. It is not supported in the official MIUI releases which makes this phone even better. Who ever is looking to get a phone that has a 4.3" Display with a high resolution for T-Mobile carrier. I would say look no more, buy it and enjoy it as me and others have.

I have heard that HTC offers the best looking Android shell for the candy bar type devices and after using the Samsung version of the shell I'd have to agree. The phone works well and the interface is the best. The transferring of personal data (like contacts and photos) however, could be a bit smoother. The 4.3 size screen is ideal for my wife - her phone really, but I have been spoiled with the 4.5 size of the Galaxy SII and would not go down in size from there.
Overall, I like the phone and would recommended.

Overall, I like this phone. Feature wise, having Android gives me plenty of things on the market to download but I'd rather have plain android rather than HTC Sense. But things run fairly smoothly even with it there.
Battery life to me isn't fantastic but I'm coming from a G1 which was terrible until I had a brick of a battery to keep it running. The battery is strong enough to handle about 1 1/2 hours of GPS time and ends up at about 19%. (My experience from a recent trip) Beyond that if I use it consistently throughout the day, I'm charging it every night.
It runs apps well, doesn't hesitate with the apps I run. Plays video smoothly when I'm streaming from HBO to go or Crunchyroll.
When I was looking for an android phone I knew I couldn't afford the latest greatest but this one had been that at one time and the prices are more reasonable for it.
As for comparisons, I'm partial to Apple's interface and usability . Android still has a ways to go in making the users' experience easy and well designed as Apple's. However, for an Android phone, this one is very pleasant to use.

Great underrated phone, I would say it's as good as the Amaze 4G aside from the camera module. It's super fast, does 4G, has a QHD screen that is sharp, and its a very slim and good looking phone. What else do you want?
I bought this for my wife, to replace her on-contract phone, and i didnt want to buy it from t-mobile, cause then it would mean a new 2 yr agreement, and the extra hassle. I got a great price on ebay.
The phone is a slight battery hog, if you turn everything on, and that's true for all phones, but the 4G does eat the battery slightly quicker.
