This is my second android smartphone and it is very reponsive. My first phone was a single core 1ghz processor and this dual core phone is much "snappier". As to the "Not for people with quick tempers" review, if you cannot learn enough use the task manager to kill applications and to put a shortcut on one of 7 home screens so that it takes you " Too many steps to get to a simple task" then your readers should consider how much authority you really have when reviewing an android phone. Learn how to put a shortcut on your home screen, put the task manager on your central home screen and you'll get more than enough battery life. Learn to use android once and you'll go through many upgrades with little learning curve.
Very nice camera with great features. The phone is limited by no authorized android 4.0 OS. (One day I'll root it) the keyboard is not as nice as some; it's rather flat, but can be adapted to with some practice. Display is bright enough but not as bright as my AMOLED one. I use it for data, some navigation and lots of talk time every day, and charge it almost every night. It's a tool for me and it works. I use a wired headset so I cannot speak to bluetooth functionality
It really is an amazing phone. Its better after you get it rooted and underclocked when sleeping.
The pros with this phone are :
Genius Button- allows you to open apps, call and text people, without searching through contacts to get a # it can navigate as well.
It has a dual core processor, and its fast. My experience with it was usually very good, performance wise, no lag whatsoever.
Another great thing about this phone is the loudspeaker/speakerphone its pretty loud considering its made my HTC, which in my opinion has had terrible speakers.
It has an 8MP camera. Its a very good camera, its fast, and I love how it has a dedicated camera button and I love that. Recent models of phones have done away with it I love it.
The camera includes panorama mode and easy sharing from within the camera app. The camera is very very good by the way.
Lots of Roms: I was using Inquisition ROM, underclocked. It would last about 2 days on 1 charge.
Now for the cons: The only issue I hated about this phone was that it is kind of heavy. This is probably due to the keyboard, and sometimes if you drop the phone enough times, the backlight to the keyboard will no longer come on. That gets annoying at night when trying to send a text message using it.
I'm pretty impressed at all the stuff this phone can do. What I'm not used to is the Android network and the ability of how all the programs keep running on this phone causing a low battery life. The ease of understanding all the features is for a moderately smart human being that adjusts to smartphones easily. I think the keyboard was difficult, the letters were too close to each other causing me to type like a 12 year old. I did not use the keyboard, it wasn't useful like the "teenage" smartphones. Overall I found it to be way too computer like... Too many steps to get to a simple task. Taa Da.
Great phone, much better than I expected. Features of a high end phone at a lower price. Camera is fantastic for all situations. It's my first dual core phone so I noticed the difference immediately. Faster reponse time in switching from app to app. and browsing in the internet. Battery life leaves a lot to be desired but I solved that with a Mugen 3600mah battery. Keyboard gets some getting used to but like every thing else just takes practice.
It has all the features i wanted and lacked in my last two phones including the hd camcorder and amazing 8mp camera when im lazy and tired its easy to slide out and type on the qwerty keyboard. Its fast and has loads of room for aps and whatever else my heart desires. Only wish there was a working ap that changes the led notification then itd be perfect. I find myself laughing at all the drones who have an iphone bc this phone is far better
