"The HTC Evo 4G delivered respectable 4G speeds, and the mobile hot-spot feature lets you connect up to eight devices. The smartphone has a front-facing camera for video chats and also comes with an 8-megapixel camera with HD-video-recording capabilities. The Evo ships with YouTube's HQ video player, Android 2.1 with HTC Sense, and an HDMI port. Other highlights include an extra-large 4.3-inch touch screen and a 1GHz Snapdragon processor."
"Sprint's 4G network is limited at this time, making the mandatory $10 premium data add-on tough to swallow for anyone outside of the coverage area. The Evo lacks support for Bluetooth voice-activated dialing. Battery drains quickly with 4G."
"The HTC Evo 4G is easily Sprint's best smartphone and one of today's top Android devices. It also shows the promise of 4G, which will grow as Sprint's WiMax network expands, but until there's broader 4G coverage, it's hard to agree with the mandatory premium data add-on fee."

This phone is AMAZING!! I've been a fan of HTC before with the T Mobile Sensation and then I switched phone companies to Sprint and got the iPhone 4. I absolutely hated the iPhone. It was not for me...no customization w/o needing to learn the skills of a psuedo-engineer so you could successfully jailbreak and get paid apps free (without bricking your phone), there was no inherent hotspot capability without paying sprint for the service, I hated that I couldn't put my apps where I wanted them, it dropped calls left and right, there was no ability to talk and surf the internet unless you're connected to WIFI, it had no inherent ability within the phone itself to block phone numbers without either paying someone or risking bricking your phone w/ bad links in Cydia market (jailbreak), & what was available in the market was crap unless you were purchasing it. Games were good though. In general, I just hated that phone. To get back to an android has been a blast! This phone's video/camera capabilities are flawless & I have LTE where I live so it's lightning fast with downloads and internet. The speaker quality itself isn't awesome despite the Beats endorsements but with a decent set of headphones you get the amazing quality you would expect from Beats. The HD quality of videos on Youtube or netflix is insane! Can't wait to get some movies on this thing. It comes stocked with 16GB's of space on the phone but allows an additional 32GB's w/ an SD which will allow for more than enough space for most people to download apps, games, movies or music. You may not be a kickstand person but trust me, give it a chance and you'll find it highly useful. This phone isn't the largest on the market, but it's up there so if you like to view movies or a lot of media on your phone- the kickstand is a must. I don't like the power button on the top of the phone because it would be more convenient on the thumb side but that's absolutely not a deal breaker because I would say that the convenience of the kickstand which isn't on most other phones makes up for an inconvenient power button placement. I'm not sure whether other androids do this as well but this phone also has a cool security feature that allows you to do a facial unlock- it's very fast in it's recognition of your face. Some people complain that you could unlock it with a picture of the owner as well but truthfully... What do you expect with a security measure that's shared on thousands of phones? Your phone isn't Fort Knox so any measure you take is probably not going to be CIA fool proof. This phone doesn't have the new Jelly Bean interface (Bummer-such a beautiful phone for HTC to not take advantage of an update that would make it even better) However, I have downloaded from the Play store an app that mimics the interface's appearance and functions pretty well which is what I was really taken with on Jelly Bean (I like my phone to look as cool and vibrant as possible). Not having Jelly Bean was also not a deal breaker for me. Before I purchased the phone, as I was shopping for a new android I pointed this phone out to my wife and she thought the phone was much too large. When I purchased the phone however, my wife felt how much lighter it was in comparison to the iphone despite it's larger screen and absolutely fell in love with the HD quality of videos on it, the customization and all the perks of this phone versus her iPhone so now we've purchased her one as well and are selling her white iPhon
This is my 3rd Evo phone and by far my favorite. This is the best phone HTC has put out, even better than the original Evo 4G. While I prefer stock Android, Sense 4 is really nice. Not as bloated as previous versions so it doesn't bog down the phone. Either that of the dual core processor has enough horsepower to negate any issues with Sense.
The screen is brilliant. It's huge and beautiful. The colors are very good and the resolution is top notch, just a hair lower than the Retina Display. I couldn't really see a difference in a side by side comparison. Call quality is very good aa is the data connection. I get much more reliable connections than either my OG Evo or Evo 3D. Happy to have a kick stand again, that is one of my favorite features.
I thought the non-removable battery would be an issue but the battery life on this phone is phenomenal. I regularly get 24 hours with regular use and over 12 hours with very heavy use.
The only drawback so far is that HTC has not announced when we will get the Jellybean update. For most people this is a non-issue but for tech nerds like me it matters. The phone will only get better with the software update.
The sleek and modern HTC EVO 4G mobile provides excellent performance. This HTC smartphone features the WiFi capability, which allows you to access the internet at a great speed. Featuring the 4.3-inch touchscreen display, this HTC EVO cell phone allows you to access every application smoothly and lets you view photos and videos too. The HTC EVO 4G mobile features 8 megapixel camera with auto Focus and 2x LED Flash, and 1.3 megapixel front facing camera for capturing your special moments. The 2.1 Bluetooth technology of this HTC smartphone allows you quickly share and transfer data with other compatible devices. This HTC EVO cell phone has 4G network, which allows you stream and upload online content from the web faster.
Bought this phone to upgrade from my old evo. This phone is exactly what i was looking for, battery life is great, panoramic camera, and fast processor! Theres no lag or anything, plus you can upgrade the memory since it has an external micro sd slot. The camera is what i like most because it takes pictures so fast. I mean literally the second you push the button, it takes the picture instantly, not like other cameras where you have to wait a couple seconds. I would definitely buy this phone again. Great price too!
The phone itself was nice until I started having problems with it. The first issue I had with it the port went bad and none the less that was 2 weeks after i had it. A week when I get the new phone....my sd card reader started messing up. So lets just say I'm sticking with Samsung. I will say I loved the features and the display but im not the only one in my network as far as family go that has had an issue with this evo or the first. Ill say stick with Samsung or LG
