HP Pavilion DV6-1355DX Laptop/Notebook

Great notebook, good looking, quality video and audio excellent, fast processor, excellent memory, easy transport, lightweight. Complete .. JUST GREAT!

Corei5/Radeon6770M/6GB/640GB72​00RPM/1366x768/9cell - I love this HP laptop! The keyboard works great, the wireless reception is awesome, the Radeon 6770M plays all the latest games very well, and the battery lasts about four hours during normal internet/work use. The screen also tilts back all the way, and I have USB 3.0 for future flash drives and external hard disks. Love it!

That being said, the AMD Switchable Graphics drivers are kind of a pain to work with, although at least they're workable. The viewing angles on the 720p panel are rather narrow, and for all the powerful components it only has one vent, so I feel like I have to use a cooling pad when I'm playing games. The card reader on my particular notebook stopped working, and the headphones ports don't seem to work right when I'm doing fancy stuff like using Steam voice chat. When I plug my headphones in part way, the sound barely goes through the headphones, but when I plug them in all the way, the notebook speakers take over. Don't know if it's a software issue or hardware, hopefully it's just software. Luckily for me, I have an external card reader and my M-Audio Fast Track Pro studio monitor to get around these issues.

PS I bought mine refurbished so read my cons with a grain of salt.

Awesome screen. HD view. Very fast.. Would definitely recommend this product. Used photo, HD with TV and there was no delay with picture or sound. Crisp picture. HP is known for quality laptop and cheap price. Not sure about USB port as my cordless mice works well with dell laptop, but with Hp it is getting disconnected with little touch to it. May be my mice is getting rough.

This DV6 has the Phenom II x3 Triple Core 2.1 with 4 Gig of RAM and it CRANKS! Warcraft, Tour of Duty, whatever, the Intel graphic chipset makes the experience amazing. Had to upgrade to Windows 7 Ultimate to get Bitlocker and Enterprise Domain VPN support, but the DV6 is like Batman; Bruce Wayne, all business during the day, and BATMAN, crime fighter macho man extraordinaire, able to take on anything at night. It is replacing the Turion 64 X2 2.0 HP DV2715NR (no slouch) but the Task Manager Performance readings using MultiSim run at about 80% across both cores, with the DV6 Phenom II x3, it runs about 25% across both cores. Visually, it processes a simulation in about half the time. AMAZING! I WUV this DV6.

Excellent product high performance and high performance. Very light and great setup mainly on the dedicated video card. Only missed the keypad, remote control and the black cherry finish.
