Jack Black against the (tiny) world

Jack Black takes his turn in yet another remake of the classic story about the three worlds of Gulliver.

Black plays a mail room employee at a magazine company and he has the hots for the Travel Editor (Amanda Peet) only he is too shy to say anything to her. He finally gets up the nerve to ask her out only chickens out at the last minute and tells her he is there to apply for the assistant job she has available. He gets the job and is sent to the Bermuda Triangle to get a story. While there he is sent on the adventure that makes up the narrative of the story.

Overall I give this movie three out of five stars only because it was somewhat entertaining and I like Jack Black and the characters he plays.

The movie also stars: Emily Blunt and Jason Segel.

If you are not into Jack Black I would suggest you skip this movie. If you enjoyed he other movies you will enjoy this one.

Jack Black spins a classic into humor

Even when there are movies like Avitar that 90% of the people love, 10% are not going to get excited about it. So knowing that you can't please everyone, Jack Black's take on an old classic is not going to win him a Golden Globe. But entertainment it is. The over the top building requests that he makes on his new little friends often spikes a laugh out of an audience. Combined with his classic sense of humor and even a moral or two mixed in, this is an entertaining 85 minutes that won't make you feel like you wasted your money. Assuming you got a good price on eBay. Full price? You might have wasted your money. But with the sell prices of it on here, it's a good add to your collection.

Great movie. my daughter loves it. very crisp and clear sound and picture on blu ray. Would recommend to all my family and friends.

Another perfect role/movie for Jack Black & his silly style of great comedy

I almost knew this was going to be funny but was kind of suprised that this was also a good story told in the midst of all of Jack Black's craziness!
If you are into Jack Black movies this is a MUST see. And a nice little movie with plenty of laughs for kids & adults alike.

Skip this one in 3D, shoot for movies actually made in 3D

I had previously seen the movie and really liked it so when we got a new LG 3D TV that came with an LG 3D Blu Ray player I purchased this movie, not knowing better. Turns out the movie was converted from 2D to 3D.
The faster the motion in the movie, the more blurry it gets, very difficult to watch in 3D.
I have since learned to check out 3D reviews before buying the movie. Movies that we now have and are great in 3D are:
Toy Story 1,2,3, Cloudy with a chance of meatballs, Cats and Dogs,(the Revenge of Kitty Galore), Mega Mind, A Christmas Carol (with Jim Carrey)
