Gremiln 2: The New Batch(1990)

For a follow up on the box office hit in 1984, Gremlins, this 1990 sequal release takes the creatures to the next level. Zack and Phoebe are back to reprise their roles as Billy and Kate who have finally moved to New York. Living together, they work in one of the largest buildings in the city. Presently the old Chinese man who owns the shop is getting offers from the head hancho of the building,(John Glover) and is almost forced to leave, shortly before his death. Gizmo gets loose and one of the goons who works in the building catches him. This time the mutations and size of the green monsters gets bigger. The effects department branches out and gives Gizmos offspring a few new looks. The new gremlins almost look like scaley muppets that have developed some personality. The movie does go to new heights, but doesn't stray too far from the original film.

liked this film since I was a kid and glad to have this
dvd that has nice picture and sound plus cool extras.
Pick up this great sequel.

GREMLINS 2

TO BE HONEST IT WAS MORE FUNNY THEN ANYTHING ELSE.. NEVER SEEN IT BEFORE THIS WAS THE FIRST TIME.. I ONLY SAW PART ONE. THERE WERE MANY FAMILIAR ACTORS IN THIS FILM WHICH I LIKED. I HAVE TO ADMIT, I STILL LIKE PART ONE BETTER.. THIS ONE IS MORE LIKE THE PUPPET SHOW. I DECIDED TO BUY IT BECAUSE I WANT THE COLLECTION. SINCE I BOUGHT PART ONE I NEEDED PART TWO. YES, CALL ME CRAZY, BUT THAT IS JUST ME. IM A COLLECTOR.. SO DID I LIKE THE MOVIE? YES, BUT LIKE I SAID, I THOUGHT IT WAS MORE FUNNY THEN ANYTHING.. MY OLDEST LIKED IT , BUT MY 14 YEAR OLD SAID IT WAS THUMBS DOWN.. TO FAKE,... BUT I LIKED IT FOR THE ACTORS..

Great Movie.

This was a pretty good movie, and I loved how they made the gremlins come back in different forms. Especially the girl gremlin, I'm sad they made the old Chinese man(Gizmos' owner) die, it was too bad, I found him quite pleasant, but I guess if they didn't it would of been hard to come up with another way of Gizmo going back to Billy. The Gremlins were crazier this time, and I did enjoy the one with a brain, as he talked it was pretty funny. I have to say I still enjoy the 1st one a little more than this one, but still a great classic movie to see.

Funnier then First

While the first Gremlins was great, it just told the story of what could happen when the little critters ran amok. The New Batch has them thrashing the Big Apple and touring a bio lab creating a genius, a bat(who becomes a gargoyle) and a bimbo (among other things). Incredible movie!
