Movie synopsis
The hard-partying son of L.A.'s most powerful media magnate realizes his true calling as a crime-fighting vigilante after his father perishes under suspicious circumstances in this big-screen adaptation of the popular radio serial, comic book, film, and television series originated by LONE RANGER creators Fran Striker and George W. Trendle. James Reid (Tom Wilkinson) single-handedly built a media empire, but unfortunately his industrious genes weren't passed down to his son, Britt (Seth Rogen). Irresponsible, slovenly, and frequently inebriated, Britt is shaken out of his drunken stupor upon receiving word that his father has died. Shortly after Britt learns that he has inherited the family business, he forges an unlikely alliance with Kato (Jay Chou), one of his father's star employees, and together the pair hatch a plan to pose as villains in order to get close to the city's most high-powered criminals. Outfitting their indestructible custom-made car, The Black Beauty, with the absolute latest in technology and high-tech weaponry -- and arming themselves to the teeth with an array of gadgets that would make Batman blush -- the masked duo hit the streets as The Green Hornet and Kato. As the public's fascination with the mysterious crime fighters hits an all-time high, Britt's resourceful secretary, Lenore Case (Cameron Diaz), helps them to gather intelligence on notorious underworld kingpin Benjamin Chudnofsky (Christoph Waltz), a criminal who holds the entire city in the palm of his hand, and represents everything that Britt's father fought against. Little do the Green Hornet and Kato realize that Chudnofsky is already on to them, and that he's not about to go down without a fight. Rogen and frequent writing partner Evan Goldberg provide the screenplay, with visionary Michel Gondry (ETERNAL SUNSHINE OF THE SPOTLESS MIND) handling directing duties., Will action or comedy reign in this modern iteration of the Green Hornet's legendary crime-fighting adventures? Still enjoyed it!

Yes, I would recommend this product to a friend.

Just watched the movie.. I have top say i was very disappointed in it. I never saw it in Theaters and I'm glad i saved my money.
When I saw that they kept the same Black Beauty I thought great they are keeping with the TV show... I was wrong, the story line of Britt was to over the top of being a spoiled brat! I feel if they toned it down it would have been a better movie... it came to late when he finally decided to take charge.
It does have some great action and Kato is great (B. Lee would have been proud).
I still liked the movie but if they make a second I really hope they tone done the spoiled part.
If they made a new one would I buy it... Ohhh YES!!

Don't waste your time on this action dud!

No, I would not recommend this product.

This movie is a total waste of time and money. Just a hodge podge of action scenes and weak unfunny Bravado! The car is the most interesting thing about the movie! Cameron Diaz is good to look at, but is wasted in her role as an assistant to the G-HORNET. Kato kicks assets, but it's the new HYPER STYLIZED fight sequences that just look absolutely fake. Comparing this film to the other SUPER HERO genre it doesn't grip you like any of the BATMAN movies. This movie may have been a little more thrilling in the Imax 3D version. A couple of good songs are on the soundtrack of this dvd. No real suspense or over the top thrills in this one. 2/5 stars

Very entertaining , kept me going, I'll be watching it again soon.

Seth Rogen, Jay Chou, Christoph Waltz, and Cameron Diaz Have been brought together in a halarious, entertaining and eye catching Super Heroe movie. The martial arts of kato used to fight crime and then there's Brent Reid. He inherited his fathers legacy after he was done away with. He has no clue how to run a paper. Brent coaxes Kato to be his partner in fighting crime. He was reluctant at first. He finally gave in and both embarked in a beautiful souped up car to fight crime.

A "GOOD" movie, worth watching !

Yes, I would recommend this product to a friend.

This movie was "different" for Seth only because the humor was not what I expected. I love his movies and this one is no exception. It was slow in parts. It had a lot of cool vehicles and special effects! The guy who played "Kato" did an excellent job! Towards the end of the movie it got really exciting with alot of action, so it held my attention better. I give it 4 stars.

The coolest Chrysler Imperial - EVER!!!!

Yes, I would recommend this product to a friend.

I was a rabid fan of the '60s television show. I was probably about 10-11 years old at the time and I have to say, this movie was pretty darn good in my opinion. There were many things that adhered to the original series but some of the movie had a particular twist that worked very well.Obviously there was a funny side to this flick without it being a "comedy" and I thought that worked out very much in a positive manner. Last but by no means the least - the Black Beauty is absolutely the coolest Chrysler Imperial EVER!!!
