Continuing with the Muppet celebration of Kermit's 50th Anniversary, we get The Great Muppet Caper on DVD. In this movie, Kermit, Fozzie and Gonzo play investigative reporters who head to Europe to look into the heist of a priceless diamond necklace belonging to Lady Holiday (Diana Rigg). There, Kermit meets Miss Piggy, who is being framed by Lady Holiday's evil brother (Charles Grodin). So, it's up to Kermit and his Muppet friends to save Miss Piggy and recover the priceless diamond necklace. Add in a few song and dance numbers and you have another great Muppet movie.

I can still remember seeing this one as a kid in the theater and loving every minute of it. Now, even though I'm much (much) older, I still enjoyed every minute. Where the first movie was about hopes and dreams and it even choked me up a little watching, this one was as close to a Muppet action movie you're going to get. More star-studded cameos include appearances by John Cleese, Peter Ustinov and Jack Warden.

As with The Muppet Movie that was also released in this Muppet movie series, this DVD is disappointing in terms of special features. Included we get another in the "Pepe Profiles Presents" series, this time focusing on Miss Piggy. Fun, but not nearly enough.

As I've said before, I'm a huge Muppet fan. And this movie is as good as the original. In terms of great family entertainment, they just don't make 'em like this anymore.

Great Fun of watching the Muppets as the solve the mystery of who stole Lady Holiday's Jewels!, Kermit the Frog, Fozzie Bear, the Great Gonzo and Miss Piggy are the stars of the movie. Along with, the bonus features are so fun. Pepe interviews Miss Piggy!, Great songs along with dancing and again a GREAT no WONDERFUL movie for the whole family!

This movie was pure genius!! I loved this film as a kid and continue to love it as an adult. Jim Henson took his muppets and put them in a real world situation that makes the story interesting to kids and adults alike. Charles Grodin is hilarious and Miss Piggy is her usual STUNNING self.
No one can forget Kermit--the main star or the rest of the spectacular staff. I will always hold The Happiness Hotel dear to my heart!
Watch it ---watch it again and just feel good!

come on, it's the muppets... Who can go without it. The Great Muppet Caper is the perfect addition to any movie collector... just sayin
