Jeanne Gardner's son was one of my best friends growing up (I'm 51 now). The family was normal, close and all very friendly. I had heard that Jeanne had written a book. But, didn't have any idea what the subject matter was.
I haven't seen Jeanne's son in almost 30 years. I contacted him by phone through the miracle of the internet and it's resources for finding old friends. Simultaneously, I remembered that Jeanne had written a book. So, I got on Ebay and found and purchased a copy (I love Ebay for shopping). I was amazed by this book! Jeanne was no pretentious person. I stayed at her home on sleep-overs and socialized with her while I was there. She is no fanatic. She is personable, friendly, intelligent, amiable and kind. I have no doubt that the experiences she describes having in this book are thoroughly honest and true.
I've been left with a stronger faith because of this book and the wonderful woman who wrote it. If you can find a copy, get it and read it. Next time I see her, I will suggest another printing!
