Movie synopsis
Neil Simon updates his successful stage and screen romantic comedy with this charming made-for-television version. THE GOODBYE GIRL tells the story of a divorcee, Paula McFadden (Patricia Heaton), who begins a new life with her daughter, Lucy (Hallie Kate Eisenberg). Paula's life is thrown for an even bigger loop when an egotistical actor, Elliot Garfield (Jeff Daniels), sublets her Manhattan apartment from her wayward boyfriend. Despite their initial hostility, this unlikely pair discovers romance as they help each other cope with the hardships of life in the big city. Directed by Richard Benjamin, THE GOODBYE GIRL features engaging performances from Heaton (EVERYBODY LOVES RAYMOND) and Daniels (DUMB AND DUMBER).

THE GOODBYE GIRL (DVD,2004) PATRICIA HEATON

If you love Patricia Heaton or Everybody Loves Raymond, then you will love
this remake of The Goodbye Girl. Patricia Heatons talents stand out in this movie. And it shows how good an actress she really is. Jeff Daniels gives
a yeoman like performance as well. The movie is a little dated though.

the goodbye girl 2004

i just purchased this movie and watched i was extremely disapointed in it it was sure a far cry from the original movie made in 1977 i love jeff daniels work but i was sorely disapointed in his work here i guess it just goes to show you that remakes can sometimes be very hurtful to the original one i give the actors and actresses credit for trying their best to pull this off how ever they did not do it richard dreyfuss and marsha mason and quinn cummings are the ones who made the original goodbye girl the big hit that it was and still is today, sorry guys but i don't recommend this remake....

the goodbye girl dvd

a single mom with plans to move to california has her life turned upside down when she finds out not only did her boyfriend leave her and go to california with out her, but sublet the apartment leaving her and her daughter no where to go.

The Good Bye Girl

I love the movie in the 70's and all of Neil Simon's work. So I must say I was pleased to add to my collection.

goodbye girl

The DVD came in good time, but doesn't play at all. I am unable to get hold of the originator to get my money back as he is seemingly gone/vanished. It's as if he burnt it himself and it doesn't play. What a waste of my money. I'll think twice about buying from eBay again.
