I thought the storyline was interesting enough to go see the movie. In Good Company turns out to be a refreshing, thoughtful comedy. Surprisingly entertaining plot of personal journeys and corporate America. Great cast. Once again Johansson plays an awesome role in another great movie. I don't think Scarlett Johansson has ever looked more beautiful than she does in this film. She is, quite simply, good in everything she does. Breakthrough performance for Topher Grace. He is and will prove to be the best actor out of the 70s show bunch. Quaid is just himself in his typical genre type of movies. He's very good in his part. There are no awkward and forced parts in this movie. The chemistry between Quaid, Grace, and Johansson is very natural.
Simple film that's sweet and enjoyable. Good family film.
A business man, who teaches good work ethics to his new boss, who is hyped up on starbucks coffee, buys a new car, goes through a divorce, falls for his new employees daughter. Oh, no....
Corporate America is in trouble...But, with our generation of Americans, who take pride in the nitty gritty of things, this is an A++ plus movie to own.
Only Disney can make this film to show, the inspirational downfalls of one life, and the beginning of a new life....
A must see, for those who live in Corporate America, and need a real eye opener in your inner world of dealings.
this is a true story based on facts.
Dennis Quaid portrays an aging salesman going thru a series of mid-life crisis. During which time, a zealous, fast talking yuppie, who is half Quaid's age; becomes Quaid's new boss, and secretly initiates a sexual affair with Quaid's daughter. Overall, I thought the plot was great, and I absolutely loved the opening "garbage can" scene. But after the first 30 minutes, my interest in the movie began to taper off.
great cinematography (high-def version)
decent support cast
plot began to break-up
I can recommend this movie if you can either get it for free, or for under $3.
Your a succesful advertising executive whos kid just got accepted into a top college. You come home one day to find out your wife is pregnet! Then you find out your company is reorginizeing everything from management on down.Your not let go like many of your friends but you now are not the boss.Your new boss is about 1/2 your age! This is a storey of how this man must deal with eeverything comeing own on him at once.
At first I was very hesitant to see this movie after a string of bad romantic comedies selected by my wife. Wow was I surprise by this movie. The acting is very good and the story is great. In a number of twists of the characters' fates, these two men become entwined in the lives of each. This is finally a comedy of wit and words (with bits of wisdom) and does not follow the tragic road of most romantic comedy and go to pratfalls and slapstick for cheap laughs. There are tender moments throughout the movie, but balanced greatly with the comedic pieces. This was the perfect movie for Topher Grace to end his stint on That 70's Show. A solid movie you will enjoy many times.
