"The Godfather" series was directed by Francis Ford Coppola in 3 parts. Part II swept the Oscars, with Coppola winning 2; 1 for Best Director & the 2nd for Best Screenplay. This is called, "The Coppola Restoration" because when F. F. Coppola took charge of creating the originals, he was a young director & screenwriter. Upgrading the entire 3 part series into this 5 disc Box Set achieved remastering the visual and audio qualities to digital and dolby.

Coppola himself and cinematographer, Gordon Willis, supervised the production of "The Godfather" series' remasterings. Typically and historically, the original filmmakers have already passed the age or passed away before their works are remastered. That Coppola himself supervised this remarkable restoration project adds to its integrity.

Great trilogy

Personally im a fan of the godfather trilogy and having it on blu ray its just a dream come true. Since the film was shooted like 20 year ago, there are some ups and down on the sound mainly on the first part, but the quality of the picture is awesome, u end up watching like through the glass of the camera that is being shooted. Audio 7/10 Video 8/10, I recommend it to the godfather fans, and just bought it for being part of my home media collection.
