Ghostbusters The Video Game: My Review

Ghostbusters The Video Game is everything ghostbuster fans have been waiting for. The story was penned by the original writers of the movies. It has everything the movies have and adding so much more. New wide-range of gadgets to try out as you are the new equipment technician joining the original gang of ghostbusters from the movies. The original actors lead there voices for the game the comedy and action is there. Familiar ghosts are back and whole lot of new ones. The game also has some bonus features that were very interesting to look at. Ecto 1 Refurbished was very interesting to watch as this was the look at the famous Cadillac ambulance from the movie. Well, if you don't know Ecto-1 then, this game might not be for you. LOL

I really did believe in hearing or watching a previous game review, Bill Murray's voice over work for his character of Peter was a little weak. I think he either didn't try or tried too hard. If you play the game, you will see what I am talking about. The graphics for PS3 is so much better than PS2. I saw the difference just in the photo on the front of the box for each system. HUGE DIFFERENCE !

I give this game 9 out of 10 in a wide-range of aspects of gaming. Again, if you like Ghostbusters, this is the game for you. I couldn't wait to fire up my proton pack and fire it the first time and throw down my trap and capture a ghost. LOL

Ghostbusters PS3-"Who ya gonna call"

Are you looking for a game that is out of the ordinary... or maybe even out of this WORLD.... If so, Ghost Busters on PS3 is the game for you. The gameplay is excellent. It has excellent graphics and the storyline is magnificent. That is probably due to that the producers of the original Ghostbusters movies helped make the video game.
The ghost wrangling action was extremely fun. In addition, the ability to upgrade your weaponry in this game was a good aspect. This action adventure game takes you through seven long levels with strange puzzles to solve and insane amounts of ghost and beast to conquer.
The only flaw about this game is the length of it. I wish there were more levels for the gamers to conquer. Other than that I would rate this a 9/10.

Ghost Busters for PS3 is an excellent game and a sequel should definitely be made. Thank you Atari, Terminal Reality, and the other producers of this game for creating such a wonderful game. =)

As Ghostbusters fans, no reason should be disappointed!

If you dug the movies, there's no reason that you should be disappointed with Ghostbusters: The Video Game. There are some moments that cause the game to stumble, but you're getting a new tale in the Ghostbusters canon, fun gameplay, a whole bunch of stuff to destroy, and some cool ghosts to scan. I felt that the game's ending was a bit flat and the romantic interest was forced, but Ghostbusters is a hell of a ride.


7.5 Presentation
The game plays like the third movie in the way it opens and is presented to fans, but some scenes need work. There are moments that don't fit here and there, but overall, it's sweet.

7.5 Graphics
The proton streams look great, the ghosts are detailed, and the CG cutscenes rock; but the in-game cutscenes are rough, there's screen-tearing and some aliasing issues.

8.0 Sound
The voices make the experience, but I wish Murray didn't sound like he was doing an impression of Venkman. The original music is nice, but it's used a bit too much.

8.0 Gameplay
Who doesn't love tearing apart ballrooms and libraries with a Proton Pack? The Meson Collider's worthless, but it's fun to wrangle ghosts into traps.

8.0 Lasting Appeal
A playthrough should take about eight hours, however, there are hidden artifacts to go back for and the multiplayer is actually a lot of fun for ghostheads.

8.0 Impressive

Great Game! a pity I found it 2 years later, but still a great game

This game is what any fan of the original movie could want, as a child I played the old games in the Atari and I loved, But this Game is like two in one, its like the thirth movie and of course a very well planned game.
Busting classic ghosts with Bill Murray! could I say more?
