Movie synopsis

A remake of the 1976 classic, this story of mother-daughter body-switching features impressive and entertaining performances from established star Jamie Lee Curtis and teen actress Lindsey Lohan. Curtis plays Tess Coleman, a widowed psychiatrist juggling her job and family while planning her second marriage. Lohan plays her rebellious rocker daughter Anna, who disapproves of her mom's wedding plans. Complete opposites, Tess and Anna are forced to understand each other's perspectives when one night, after bickering at a Chinese restaurant, they wake up in each other's bodies under a fortune-cookie curse. A hilarious series of physical comedy routines ensues, as Tess must deal with Anna's high school and Anna must cope with Tess's adult responsibilities. To make matters worse, this all happens on the same day of Tess's rehearsal dinner and Anna's band audition for the House of Blues. In a challenging role that requires her to slouch, curse, and flirt like a teenager, Jamie Lee Curtis is a comic genius.

Freaky Friday (DVD, 2003)

Review For: Freaky Friday (DVD, 2003)
Freaky Friday is one of those teen drama-feel good-comedy movies!!

I think this is one of Lindsay Lohan's best movies which to me says alot because I don't really like her work usually..well besides The Parent Trap.

I never watched Jamie Lee Curtis's work before this movie but, she was great!

Anyways,

The movie is about Lindsay & Jamie's Characters Tess & Anna. Well, about their mother/daughter relationship. How they don't understand each other, never see eye to eye, fights all the time. Ya know how all that single mother raising a teenager daughter fun stuff is. Tess is well...an overworked shrink, Anna is a highschool girl in a band with all that high school drama included!

Plus to make matters worse for well Tess, Tess is getting married & Anna doesn't exactly approve.

The whole family, including Tess's to be husband, all go out to dinner at a chinese restaurant & Tess & Anna get into another fight while they are there about Anna's band & Tess's dinner rehearsal. One of the chinese women notices them & deicides to make them "walk a mile in each other's shoes" (literally).

So, the morning after dinner, they wake up in each other's bodies & have to play out each other's lives while trying to figure out how to reverse the switch.

This movie is definately a family friendly, comedy movie. One of my all time favorites. I love to pop it in when I'm having a bad day or just down in the dumps.

This movie is not for the people that take movies all seriously & tries to find all the cons about the movie. Its just a simple, fun movie.

My rating is 10/10.

Tess Coleman is the mother of 15-year-old Anna -- Mother and daughter bicker over everything -- what Anna wears, whom she likes and what she wants to do when she's older. In turn, Anna detests Tess's fiancé. When a magical fortune cookie switches their personalities, they each get a peek at how the other person feels, thinks and lives.

Review For: Freaky Friday (DVD, 2003)
I absolutely love Jamie Lee Curtis! She is a great actress! The movie was really funny! She did a great job acting like a teenager. The best part of the movie was when she was trying to act like the adult when she was actually a teen!

Yet another good remake of an old movie!

Review For: Freaky Friday (DVD, 2003)
I have seen all of the remakes of the original movie Freaky Friday, and this one has become my new favorite. Linsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis were the perfect 2 actors to play mom and daughter. In this one there is a different story line than the others leading up to the "freaky" incident, and it made for a great movie even if it is yet another remake. I would say rent it before buying it, unless you have a Freaky Friday collection and want to add this one to it. This way if you didnt enjoy it as much as I did, and will watch it more than once occasionally like I am, you wont have to spend more money than you want. ENJOY, and I hope I helped someone.
