Great documentary on 2 of Walt's Nine Old Men

A must see for any Disney Studio history fans and enjoyable documentary for those casual fans. Check out their bible/history of Disney Animation too "Disney Animation - The Illusion of Life" as a companion piece. Amazing set of friends who animated on every feature from Snow White to The Fox and the Hound. Frank's best work in my opinion is the spaghetti sequence in Lady and the Tramp. He always viewed animation as a struggle for perfection, which is something Walt wanted in his animators (Plus it!). I think Ollie made that struggle easier for Frank to deal with and I think Frank helped make Ollie a better animator. It's too bad they didn't get along with the erascible Milt Kahl, Disney's best draftsman, in the mid to late 70's which led to Milt retiring from Disney. These 2 saw it all and I wish they would have wrote more on the studio's history before they left us.

Great film MUST for Disney fans

Done by 1 of Frank's sons.

This film is a must for Disney fans.

Very interesting.

So glad to finally have it on DVD.

We learn about the last of the Nine Old Men of Animation Sad they are all gone now Frank passed away in 2004, Ollie in 2008.

I thought a personal note of interest to me. Frank lived for a time in my home town when he was young. This city is nothing to brag about.

Besides learning about them you of course get behind the scenes Disney facts from the early days.

You see Ollie & his personal train. Just like Walt had at his home. They lived right next door to each other.

WISH DISNEY STILL MADE DVD RELEASES LIKE THIS.

Has a chapter search list. Good extras. Making of, personal home movies, etc.

We Disney fans sure do miss them.

Great insight to the animation industry

This was a great historical look at animation by some masters of the art form. It's a great watch for any fan of animation or historical fans. As an artist myself I really enjoyed watching this DVD and seeing Frank and Ollie's perspective and also watching them and seeing how they work, talk, etc. It was especially cool to see their homes and drawing boards. I think it was definitely money well spent and plan to watch it again in the near future.

I'm a big fan of animation and I had been wanting this DVD for quite some time. I was very happy to find it on eBay at such a great price! Interesting information and if you're a lover of animation and insight into this art form, this is definitely is a good buy.

I purchased this movie for myself i SEEMED INTERESTING AND SOMETHING i WOULD LIKE TO SEE. Have't had time to see it yet. Am anticipating .
