I love folks, its my very favorite comedy. Too bad I ordered and can't watch it because I didn't know the difference between region one and region two. When you are not efficient on a computor and don't understand abreviations, etc. It should state not in english, does not work on a common dvd player. My first experience in buying was a loss of money, now I'm afraid to buy any thing off of ebay. Thanks for asking.
I kept hunting till I found this movie again, it is never not here in my home,i watch this at least 2 times per week ,I have gone through 3 copies since it was realesed the first time on tv, and the tapes you make are not like these DVD's ,they last longer and I need that because I can't get enough of Folks,it shows the links that parents will do to help their children, and its done in such a funny way .I would ask anyone who enjoys comedy to pick this up, and really enjoy themselves, you won't be sorry. Also it shows what can happen when kids ,no matter what age do not listen to what their parents have to say as in this case it would have saved a lot but glad he didn't because it would have cut off a lot of the humor.
This has been one of my favorite movies of all time. Great story of remembering what is most importnat in life isn't the climb to the top of the corporate ladder, it's the people who will always be a part of your life. It's about your "folks" and all the wonderful little things that make family warm your heart.
Fun show and lots of laughs. Everyone seems to know someone who matches each of the characters in it.
Poor Guy...Rough Luck and Bad Luck is all Tom Selleck has with his "Folks" His parents really are getting old and Senile, and wrecks Havok in His life, Epsecially when his Dad goes on a DRIVE....Side hurts after watching this.
I have asked SO many people...."have you ever seen the movie FOLKS?" it wasn't until quite recently that someone said YES! I LOVE THAT MOVIE!
If you like offbeat black comedy, this movie is one that you will watch again and again. Tom Selleck and Don Ameche are funny and charming, and the situations they get into are PRICELESS!
