I was disappointed reading the comments (reviews) only to find out that people do not know about tablets and android. This device has android 4, the latest release of google OS that will dominate the future. Of course, the interface is different from older android versions. Yes, not all applications from android market are available for version 4, but in the near future applications will be available only for version 4. The battery life is adequate, just look at the mA and you can figure the battery life. Compared to other devices, is one of the best. For better results try to manage your open apps. The device is fast, really fast, faster than my laptop. The cortex A8 chipset is great. The power supply (the adapter) is the most common adapter in the market, 5V-2A, just search in ebay and you will find thousands! The item I received had better characteristics than those listed: it has a multi-touch screen and it has DDR3 (fastest) memory.
Beware of a bug of android, when on/off wifi, you may get a boot lock. Google it, the solution is simple: hard reset (hold power+menu+home simultaneously, then select menu item 'hard reset').
You do not buy a $700 iPad2 with iOS, you buy an $160 android unbranded device. For that kind of money, is a good deal. If you want the top, pay for an iPad2.
Generally, the service is excellent (response time, options, etc) and the item itself is the best value for money in the market. The keyboard case gift is a big plus.
This product is not the regular version of the android like on my phone. The applications are not the normal looking applications. You can find your way around, but it takes getting used to. The facebook app did not work for me. I had to download the mobile facebook application. The android market that is installed had some of the applications that I have on my android phone, but some I could not find.
I found that the tablet is very touchy. When I scroll down the page, I inadvertently touch one tab harder than others as my fingers go down the page. This gets very frustrating. I found using a stylus helped.
The applications are slow for the most part.
The touchscreen is very tough and very hard in response; also virtually impossible to use bare finger, only the plastic stylus;
Virtually impossible to wake up the tablet from "sleep mode" directly, in 80% of cases you must reset it;
the charge indicator stopped light green (when fully charged) after one day of usage, even if connected to charger for a long time;
WiFi is very slow.
These are my main concerns.
Pros: Great touch screen. Very easy to add apps. I was immediately able to review email and surf the net.
Cons: The only concern I have is that the ac adaptor is not the best quality. In fact when unplugging it I have seen a spark from the outlet several times. I've unplugged the adaptor from different outlets so I know its not the outlet. Also I made certain the tab was off each time before unplugging.
I purchased this tablet because I wanted to get to the internet using an Ad-Hoc Router. This is one of the few android tablets that will permit ad-hoc routers. The other android tablets block the ability of the user to access ad hoc routers. The enhancements made by the sellers were noticeable and well worth the cost.
