The price of textbooks is going nowhere but up. However, an international edition via E-bay may be just the thing to save you a few hundred.
The international version and hardcover are virtually identical in subject matter right down to the page numbers. So you can read along with others in your study group. However, at the end of each chapter, the problem order and amounts will be different. So, here's what you do. Find a friend with the hardcover edition. Borrow the book and go to your nearest copier with a $10 roll of quarters. Then copy the appropriate exercises you need as per the class syllabus. Congratulations. You've just passed college finance 101!
The international edition is not exactly the same as the US edition. For one thing, the cases used in the book are different. And, another important thing, the US edition will give you a number used in the online tutorial, which is used by some teachers. The international edition doesn't have that, so you have to pay another $50 to get online access.
I bought the book for my business school at the begining of the year as it was mandotory. I didn't regret my choice !
Great book with many real cases to work on.
Very good explanations
The textbook is needed for my ACCT 6200 class. Making Accounting interesting is not an easy job. I just wish the textbook did not feel like a load of bricks in my bookbag. I want to keep the book as a reference after this first semester of my MBA program.
Well its financial accounting. This book does a great job of teaching. Way better then my teacher does.
