this is definitely a game that is alot better to play with friends that without. You can play with random people over the internet but you will find that lag becomes quite an annoying issue. When i played with my 2 friends i noticed little lag in the game. Anyways here is a rough overview of how the game works. its a pretty simple hack and slash sort of game, no complex combos to do or dual buttons to be pressed for special moves...basically spam the attack button or use your magic, which is, in my opinion not set up well. to use your magic you press the c button which brings up a targeting crosshair which you mosey on over to the enemy you want to cast it on, which in turn leaves you open for attacks, but still is manageable just be back from the enemy a ways. Now the storyline is decent, i won't get into, if you want to know the story just look up a faq for it. there are quite alot of tedious puzzles in this that you will prob. get tired of really quick. that is why i recommend playing with friends because this speeds up puzzle solving and execution by a vast amount. you can play by yourself and use bots as allies but you will soon notice that they seem to have little brain and get in the way more than help, such as moving objects out of the way you placed for a switch and what not. but i dont want to sound like im bashing the game because i did find it enjoyable for me and a couple of my friends to play. I am only going to play through the story once, as it is not really a game you would replay alot, though after u beat the game you can fight the bosses again that you faced in the game which i find fun to do with friends. all in all id say the game is pretty average. they definitely could have put alot more time in this to make it much more of a smooth experience. oh, i almost forgot the worse part of the game, once you get used to this its not so bad, but when you 1st turn this game on WTF is going to come to mind, at least it did for my friends and I. being that this is also a Nintendo DS game and they have 2 screens, you also have 2 screens to work with. they are placed in the center of your screen side by side and you can control the size of them to an extent, such as having one really small and the other larger to see better. they limit you to the max size of one screen to where i would say they leave about 30% of ur screen above and below the screen that is just basically blank space. if they implemented a screen in screen feature where once screen would take up the whole tv and the other would be a small box in the corner this would be soo much better. but i leave you with this, this can be a simple yet addicting game for you and your friends to play or it can be annoying and frustrating if you have little patience.
It feels like a game that should have been on a platform as old as the N-64. It's a typical rpg, semi-kiddish in nature. The idea is cool, but the technical formatting of the game is extremely frustrating. You can't move multiple characters as you think you should be able to.
This might be a great game for the DS or another system of that sort, but it seems this game was just made compatible for a Wii without making and alterations to make it enjoyable on a Wii system. The bad thing about this game is the use of two screens. It might be okay for a large 42" TV, but I only have a 15" TV and have a hard time seeing one screen, let alone two screens side by side. Also, it does not make use of any of the benefits of playing on a Wii system, rather it just uses very minimal buttons as if it was actually for a Nintendo DS system. I do not recommend buying this game unless you have a rather large TV screen and patience to deal with two screens at once.
This game i was sceptical about. But once i played it i found that this game if excellent. I couldn't ask for more from a game like this. Completely customizable character outfits as well. That had me hooked. And the gameplay is great! Real time battles so you have to come up with strategies on defeating different monsters. This game is wonderful and i recommend it to everyone.
Interface on the Wii is bad...it would look much better on DS, but it's a great game! If you like Ring of Fates for DS, I recommend grabbing this one for the wii! (actually, get it on DS.)
