A Good Package

Unfortunately, ADV didn't put as much effort into the 4th season as in previous seasons. Although the video is now in widescreen, they've removed subtitles. The audio also seems to be spotty... some episodes have excellent sound quality and others have strong sound effects and weak voice.

The 4th season is a bit "out there" in some places and drags a little in others. Not the best season overall and with suprising continuity issues...Farscape normally is very good at keeping track of what, who, where, capabilities, etc... or at least the issues are so minor that only nit-pickers would notice; however, in this season there are some big lapses.

Despite these issues I'm still very sad that the series ended and all though most loose ends were tied up in the Peacekeeper Wars mini-series (not included) I would have liked to have seen it go on for at least another season.

Why you bought it,because i was watching it on net flix and it was uploading really bad
- What I liked most about this box set was the stunning picture quality, because there was only 2 episodes on a dvd they didn't compress it as much as other box sets
- There was absolutely nothing that I didn't like about the series or the characters, these box sets are phenomenal,I am waiting to buy the blue ray release on Nov. 15 for 125.00
- Would I buy the product again?, oh yes, all these sellers sent better than described merchandise and these sets are awesome and the series was awesome, really cool characters, and it was more of an adult series, really cool,extremely dissapointed the series ended, make sure you buy the Peace Keeper Wars, it is the conclusion to the series, OMG it is awesome, even the wives will like this one

The entire Farscape series!!!!!

The best show by far! Wow, amazing characters that play well together, even at their most extreme differences. Great sci-fi action, great story telling, unafraid to broach any subject, but with taste. It is not your father's star trek, this is too complicated for that. You actually feel for these characters, even though the series has now been canceled, the fans outcries demanded, and received a mini series; with hopefully more to follow. The effects are movie standards, the comedy is hilarious, the action intense, and the sexual intrigue is surprisingly hot; especially when you're talking about aliens!!? Buy it, watch it, contact who ever you can and demand that they make more!

What Will Be, Will Be

Many fans felt that Season 4 of Farscape was the weakest of the show's run, not to mention the fact that is was capped by the satisfying, but otherwise lackluster, "Farscape: The Peacekeeper Wars." However, Season 4 is no better or worse than the preceding three years, with the introduction of the too-smart-for-her-own-good Sikozu and the return of Stark. Perhaps the season's biggest letdown is the fact that it couldn't segue into the ill-fated Season 5.

Farscape - Season 4: Box Set

My husband and I have really been enjoying the Farscape Starburst Edition. We never watched this series while it was on TV - but watching it on DVD has been a lot of fun! I couldn't wait for the 4th season Starburst Edition to be released - so I purchased the earlier edition. The quality of the audio is inferior, there are no subtitles, and less special features - but otherwise the older edition is fine. However, the 4th season is just not as well done as the first 3 were, which is probably why it was cancelled at the end of this season.

I highly recommend watching the series, and the Starburst Edition is not significantly better than this edition, However as I said Season 4 has much to be desired.
