Movie synopsis
Seth MacFarlane's animated comedy continues its assault on pop culture, good taste, and the Fox censors with its riotous fifth season. Even though nothing has really changed for the Griffin family, there's still plenty of comedic ground to cover. Peter keeps his crown as the laziest man in Quahog, Rhode Island, but getting older means experiences that no man should have to go through. Meanwhile, his beloved Lois is still far too sexy for her portly husband, leading to a liaison with Bill Clinton. Son Chris joins a band, but he can't seem to shake his fear of the evil monkey in his closet. Daughter Meg continues her tour of mediocrity with a job at a store in town, while Brian the dog puts down his martini long enough to go beyond the bounds of Quahog and travel to Iraq. Baby Stewie remains intent on world domination and matricide, but he takes some time off to connect with an ex-love. Volume five includes the first 13 episodes of the fifth season, plus commentary, deleted scenes and more to delight FAMILY GUY fans.

Lots of Content

Review For: Family Guy - Volume 5 (DVD, 2007, 3-Disc Set)

I do love Family Guy because of the episodes but I also love Family Guy because of all the special features and content. I bought this DVD and loved all the episodes especially when Peter goes to court against his doctor, but the special features on this DVD are awesome too.
Lots of deleted scenes, plenty of commentary, and a few promo's that are on the last disc.
I wish to have seen a few more episodes because anymore the DVD's are getting smaller and smaller, but still worth the money to any collector!!

Great Family Guy Edition

Review For: Family Guy - Volume 5 (DVD, 2007, 3-Disc Set)

As a Family Guy fan, I had thought they lost a little bit of their fire after being cancelled. But this season was one of the funniest, in my opinion. I like the fact that on these discs, they added many deleted scenes not seen on TV. The episode where Peter's mother hooked up with Tom Tucker had the most hilarious scene (not seen on the original TV episode) in which Stewie expressed his disgust over his grandmother's new love affair. I actually had to go back and re-watch that scene because it was sooooo funny. If you're a Family Guy fan you will not be disappointed with this collection. I just got Volume 6 and I can't wait to watch it!

Family Guy - Volume 5 (2007, DVD)

Review For: Family Guy - Volume 5 (DVD, 2007, 3-Disc Set)

Yes I am extremely glad that Family Guy is releasing volume 5 of their smash hit show. My major disappointment is that they decided to release only the first 13 episodes of Season 5 instead of releasing the entire season all at once. But I still can't wait for this DVD set to come out.

I laughed till it hurt

Review For: Family Guy - Volume 5 (DVD, 2007, 3-Disc Set)

This is, without a doubt, the funniest volume yet. Holy crap the laughs wouldn't stop. And the level they go to...wow. This is in no way for children. Don't let the fact that it's animated fool you. Hearing them curse was a new one for me. I own the other volumes and either didn't turn on the profanity or didn't hear it. This time, oh yeah, they let the "F" bombs fly.

Again, this show is probably the funniest on TV and I think it's passing the Simpsons in terms of being funny. I'm talking Simpsons season 1-7 btw.

Get this DVD.
