A hit and a miss

Created: 12/15/99
by: Coug11 -- a member of Epinions
Pros:
Easy to play, very good graphics, moves and shots are realistic
Cons:
Wrong names, Not all teams are on the game, wrong conferences
This game is one of those that could be incredible, yet lacks the necessary ingredients to make the top of the chart. The graphics are very good and the game is fairly easy to learn, you just have to deal with not knowing exactly who the players you are playing with are. There are alot of very good teams left off of this game, and some NCAA teams are on it that shouldn't be. The players names do not appear, so you must know each person's number to know who you are playing with. Princeton only has Player 1, Player 2, etc. You would think they could have at least made up fake names for all of...

Fox College Hoops is good

Pros:
a lot of teams, games usually stay close (therefore fun), pretty realistic
Cons:
lack of stats, not real names
Fox Sports College Hoops '99 is overall a very good game. The graphics are only fair, but gameplay is smooth. There are plenty of teams to choose from, including all the major conferences. A neat feature is all of the good teams from smaller confernces are here, compiled into 2 imaginary conferences. One annoying feature is that all the players names are made up, no real ones. (This may be a small detail, but Princeton's names are player1, player2, etc. That's a little ridiculous.) Every player has individual strengths and weaknesses. And there are a lot of strengths and weaknesses that they..

Not the Best

Pros:
college sports on N64
Cons:
no creat player function, okay graphics
I miss my Playstation because I enjoy playing college sports games as well as pro, and Playstation offers a lot more in the college arena than N64. But I found Fox Sports College Hoops '99 and decided I must have it because I wanted some college action in my living room. I was not overly pleased with my purchase, and the game did not stay in my N64 collection long before it was traded in for something else. The game does not have actual players because NCAA prohibits them from doing that, but it does have all the major teams in the college world. Their colors and even home town arenas are...

Simply A Disappointment

Pros:
College Hoops
Cons:
Fake Names! Very Weak! No tournament tree
I was excited, finally a College Basketball game for N64. The result:it sucks! It was a huge disappointment. The game play is pretty good. It also is your only choice at the moment for College Hoops on N64. By all means do not purchase this game! If your really into College Hoops and you can ignore fake players with fake names it might be worth a rental. I know with the NCAA you can't have real players, but for God's sake let us change the names! The exclamations from the players amount to about five and they are constant. The announcers are annoying. You don't get to see the tournament tree..

Fox Sports College Hoop 99-a waste of money

Pros:
nothing
Cons:
everything
I bought this game for $9.99 when I first got N64(christmas 99) thinking it couldn't be that bad for that price, plus,at the time, it was only my third game. Now maybe I was expecting too much from this game, but I don't think so.You can't change the rules, you have to pick it by difficulty level, and on easy, most rules are off.If you want it to use all the correct rules, you have to put it on the hardest setting, which is way too hard(I lost 99-17).The teams are all fake, it doesn't even give the real numbers, it uses made up names. The gameplay is slow, and it has happened more than once that.
