Quick and efficient. Easy to use and the mp3 player is a plus. The database was very strict on how addresses were entered into the system. I consider it unintuitive. Their is also a problem with support for the device being the manufacturer went out of business. Also, the company that provided the database and maps for the device wants nothing to do with updating them or even giving advice on how to find support. Really outdated by several years but still really fast processor. Great if you were sticking to the major highways.
The first one I recieved was missing a switch that resets the device so there was no way to turn it on. The second one took from 2-10 minutes to get a satellite fix every time I turned it on. It also would not let me input street addresses, only the street name, it would then lead me to the zero N/S/E/W point of the street. It finally stopped even accepting street names, this was after about 2 weeks of use. NOT GOOD!!
Ive used several GPS units in the past few years (Magellan 2000, Garmin C330, Nextar x3-03) but the Evesham Nav-Cam 7000 is the worst.
The graphics are cheap, bland and seem to missing decent color.
Customer service is a joke. You can't get through, its as if it's not existant.
IT TAKES THIS GPS 15 MINUTES TO LOCK ONTO A SATALITE AND I HAD AN UNOBSTRUCTED VIEW OF THE SKY.
My opinion...This GPS is a piece of crap. Instead go with a Magellan or a Garmin, they work better, have much better graphics, are crafted better and they have customer service.
I purchased this product (3 of them) thinking it was a good startup unit to give as a gift. Had to go online to get better user instructions as only a brief phamlet came with it. I am still trying to figure out what this unit can really do. The seller was great to work with and would buy from them again. I probably will just sell the other two I got and not use them as a present.
I like the design it has, but unfortunately that's it. After trying to use the item, it was giving me a hard time trying to connect to the satellite and it is very slow. The GPS will not pick up certain street addresses that I need programmed. I guess the map is outdated! The graphics are kind of shotty as well. I was convinced to return the product!
