I love the lessons for new-teens and pre-teens on each show. Everybody Hates Chris is great family television. I look forward to the second season when it becomes available. My 11 year old son really enjoys these programs and so does the whole family.
I love everybody hates chris, My son and I catch it every Monday. I used to work on Mondays, and would always miss it. When I received it we couldn't wait to watch it. It is a real-life family show.
I bought this as a gift for my brother for Christmas and on Christmas eve, we decided we'd all watch a few episodes. They were hilarious. You can tell through Chris' narration that his growing up experience molded him to be an intelligent black man and it's rare to see that on TV... which is probably why he only lasted for one season. Anyone looking for a good laugh should definitely invest in this series, especially families who know what it's like growing up broke and having to deal with the world around you.
I knew I had missed several episodes of this and this actually reminds me of growing up in Kansas City and the father was out supporting the family and the mother robbed Peter to pay Paul. I didn't remember that the mother that was on season of Martin and I enjoyed her in both.
This is one of the most underrated series with amazing writers and cast members. Not even close to the stereotypical shows (WB/UPN) about black America. Just as good as Malcolm and Earl is some ways, and even better in other ways. P. Napora
