Through a combination of the illuminating overviews composed by the editor and readings drawn from important traditional and contemporary sources, MacKinnon's acclaimed ETHICS provides students with a superbly balanced introduction to both ethical theory and the moral debates surrounding a variety of contemporary issues. Designed to offer instructors maximum flexibility and revised with the intention of providing reader friendly, but not superficial, access to many complex concepts, ETHICS is a comprehensive and clear-sighted introduction to both the general and specific arenas in which ethical deliberation is obliged to dwell.

Excellent book for thinking outside the box

Yes, I would recommend this product to a friend.

I purchased this book for a Philosophy college course. After skimming through this book, I think I will like this class. The book is easy to understand and easy to follow. I think the author did a really good job with the writing style in this book. I would recommend this book even to someone that isn't enrolled in a class.

Interesting Book!

Very intriguing book. I couldn't put it down when I first got it. Lots of different controversial issues it expands on and procedures. Needed the book for my philosophy class so it should be interesting to use in my course :)

Not fantastic, but still a decent book.

Review For: Ethics : Theory and Contemporary Issues by MacKinnon (2006, Paperback)

I had to purchase this book for my philosophy class. It has good detail when it talks about the abortion debate and even gets most of the science right as far as I can tell. However, the book is terribly wordy. I find it hard to get through the chapters in one sitting and even my chemistry textbook is more succinct.
