Top of the line playing and singing on this dvd

When I found out eric and steve winwood where playing the garden i wanted to go see it live, i just couldnt do it. So when the dvd was released i jumped on the chance to see the first so called supergroup. I was amazed at eric"s layed back but peircing guitar work, and winwoods voice is simply graceful. Together they truely can be described as super. Steve winwood, known for his talented piano, organ playing blew me away with his blistering axe work. There tributes to jimi hendrix (little wing, voodoo chile) sent chills over me literally. I was blessed to take my 13 year old son who has been playing guitar for 2 years, as i have been playing for 20 yrs to see Clapton and Winwood live june 15th at columbus ohio. The set list was allmost the same as madison square garden and it is a show my son nor i will ever forget

I LOVE THIS SHOW!

I'd give the DVD five stars, mainly for what it adds to the equation: the visual aspect, which drives my interest anyway as a compliment to the audio. While it might seem counter-intuitive to grade musicians of this caliber by "what you can see", the DVD added such a great dimension to the show, in terms of WATCHING them solo and seeing the interplay between them, and their excellent band. The musicianship is excellent. The best make it look so effortless. Plus they're clearly having a good time up there. The video and audio are excellent.

Disc 2 with the extras is good. Interviews, some background on Clapton and Winwood's 60's works, their time together in Blind Faith, and behind-the-scenes work for the show. There are also a couple of bonus cuts, which didn't make the "main" concert. Overall, the disc set was definitely worth the money, and if you're a fan of either Clapton or Winwood, and have any inclination to buy this, then absolutely do so. You won't be disappointed.

After 40 years....still so good !!!!!

Very good concert with two of the best british musicians. Eric Clapton and Steve Winwood are always to the top. Its a great pleasure to see the songs of Blind Faith, Cream, Traffic still played so perfectly. And more the songs of Jimi Hendrix are here a true gift for the people buying this double DVD.

I bought the Eric Clapton and Steve Winwood: Live From Madison Square Garden (Blu-ray Disc, 2009) four weeks ago and was immediately impressed with the high quality of this product. It is just like carrying the show in my pocket and taking it anywhere to enjoy it.

If you like the Blind Faith Days of old, this is just great. It is great music, well put together and the sound is great. Even though I am not much of a live concert fan, I am so glad I purchased this. It will be a classic.
