Not really suitable for a 5-6 yr old. Pulled it out of the box for my son and his friend to play since it is a 2 player game but for some reason they decided to add a prolonged cinematic opening following by a single player prologue that took even an experience adult gamer several minutes to play though. The control aren't intuitive and this one is currently collecting dust. Hopefully after a few more months enough maturity from my son to be 6 yr old gamer will develop for him to find enjoyment with this title.
I got this for my 6 year son and I to play. It's confusing how it starts out because only 1 person can play the first 20 minutes or longer of the game. Once we did figure out how to play it and add in a second player we liked it. It's slow going though since it's kinda complicated. I went to the website in the book and follow it with the instructions on what to do on each level. My son loves it as this is the only Wii game with Mickey in it.
Good game, a bit irritated by the singing, but a good game nonetheless. I am a big fan of the first EM game because it's a trippy nightmare. EM2 not so much. It's so upbeat and happy go lucky.
Grandson requested this for Christmas because he had Epic Mickey 1 and enjoyed. I have not personally used or watched him play this one but he says he likes it. This is an eleven year old who is not allowed any violent or questionable games so I can't say if another child his age would like.
The graphics and story line is great in this game. It's a good change from all the shooter games and even though its a cartoon type game it's still not corney like so many are. This is my new favorite.
