Emmet Otter's Jug-Band Christmas (VHS, 1997)

Once again Jim Henson and co. have out done themselves.
Emmet enters a battle of the bands as does his mother.They both want to win the prize money so they can get the other one a christmas gift. (how sweet).

Emmet finds that even with hard work you still might lose,
but Emmet's mother teaches him that it is alright to lose if you did your best.
In the end a restaurant owner heard them combine the two songs they sung(which sounds very nice together and reinforces the lesson of the story)Emmet's band and his mother get a job singing and alls well.
I recomend this movie for any one who loves christmas or good feeling shows

I grew up watching this movie and it is wonderful! Although there are two versions you need to be careful when purchasing and read reviews if you want the one you remember. If you are purchasing for a child it really doesn't matter which one you get they will love it either way!!!! I recently purchased the older VHS version due to the fact that the new DVD version was said to be different. I believe the new one does not have Kermit the Frog and there is a song or two missing. Other reviews would be clearer on that so check them out. Regardless, LOVE IT AND YOU WILL TOO!

Absolutely the sweetest animated story you will ever see. I'm far from being a child(71) but I think any small child and not a few adults will absolutely love this story. Jim Hensons muppets (New Characters) tell a story that should give hope to anyone who despairs about the human race. We can all benefit from the morals expressed in this wonderful film. Buy it , you'll be glad you did.

Bought the tape with the RARE scenes of Kermit the Frog but in the end he only shows up a few brief times as a narrator!! Doesnt really impact the movie,if he werent there I wouldnt miss it. The rest of the movie seemed intact to how I remember it years ago and I really enjoyed it. Long live the River Bottom Nightmare Band!!

A great holiday story for kids but grown up will like it to. If this is not enough information try watching the movie.
