No other performer ever graced the big screen quite like that of Elvis Presley, the King of Rock 'N' Roll. Throughout his career, he starred in a total of 33 movies from 1956 to 1972 (2 of them were documetaries). Starting in the late 80s, his movies were eventually released to the home video market, thus making them available to enjoy whenever you wanted. 6 of these titles were release during this period, and are now brought together in this unique boxed set of 6 DVDs. Titled "The Hollywood Collection", This is a special showcase of several of Elvis' films, together in one collection. This set includes the following films; "Kissin' Cousins" is the only movie in which Elvis plays 2 roles, as identical cousins Josh Morgan and Jodie Tatum. "Girl Happy" has Elvis as Rusty Wells, a nightclub singer sent down to Florida to watch his boss' daughter. "Tickle Me" is about Elvis as rodeo champion Lonnie Beale, taking work on a dude ranch for women. "Stay Away, Joe" features Elvis as indian Joe Lightcloud, a woman-chasing troublemaker. "Live A Little, Love A Little" stars Elvis as Greg Nolan, a photographer who works two jobs at the same time. "Charro!" is perhaps the best of this lot, with Elvis as reformed outlaw Jess Wade, who gets framed for the theft of a priceless cannon. All 6 movies make their DVD debut in this set, and are also shown in the widescreen letterbox format. There are also 30 trading cards included, as well. A great value in an attractive box, "The Hollywood Collection" is first-rate Elvis all the way.
This boxed set titled Elvis the Hollywood Collection is a great addition to any Elvis movie collection, comes with 6 Elvis DVD titles, in an atractive boxed set. Great value over collecting movies individually, and includes many of the more difficult to find Elvis titles. Highly reccomend buying over the internet as I saved over two thirds the cost of purchasing retail.
This is a chance to own a set of movies that everybody loved but they were not available on DVD. The movies are a necessity for all Elvis fans every where.
Completing my Elvis dvd collection and this was a "must" to limit the amount of separate dvd's I had to buy.
I bought this for my 5 year. She loves Elvis and watches them over and over. I believe she is the next genreation of Elvis fans.
