Eloise Wilkin Stories Nine Beloved Classics is just the most precious book. I purchased this book for my 3 year old granddaughter for Christmas. I have always loved the illustrations of Eloise Wilkin & my darling granddaughter looks just like some of her little girls. This is a Little Golden Book Collection, all nine of these stories were previously sold as Little Golden Books. These stories were written in the 1940's & 1950's but Eloise Wilkin still remains one of the most collectible of all Golden Book illustrators. You only have to look at her precious pictures to know why. The children are always so sweet & chubby faces. They have big eyes & darling little almost heart shaped mouths. This book includes the stories Busy Timmy, Guess Who Lives Here, My Little Golden Book About God, Wonders of Nature, Selections From A Child's Garden of Verses, We Help Mommy, Baby Listens, Baby Dear, Baby Looks, Little Boy Blue, and, At Sunset. You may remember some of these stories from your childhood, or remember reading them to your children. Wilkin designed a baby doll in 1960 for Vogue Dolls which is featured in the book Baby Dear. This doll became a huge seller & is sought after today by doll collectors. I have my very own baby dear, so perhaps this is why I am drawn to her artwork. The book's introduction was written by Wilkin's daughter Deborah Wilkin Springett. There is also a Rememberance of Eloise Wilkin written by Jane Werner Watson. This is hard cover book containing 209 pages, published by Random House Books. It has gold gilt page edges. I am sure any little girl would love to receive this as a gift & there may be some "older" girls that would love it too. A great gift! I highly recommend the book.

Eloise Wilking Treasury Book

This book is absolutely wonderful. The illustrations are the best of any
Golden Book that I have owned. The stories remind us of a simple, less complicated time of life, and are wonderful stories to read to your kids.

The reason I bought this book is that I own a few by Eloise Wilkins of the individual books and remember how well my kids loved all the pictures in them
along with the stories (which we know by heart).

The stories are for girls and boys.

Eloise Wilkin Stories a BIG Hit at our House.

The whole book is a great collection of stries and illustrations. My 3 year old daughter loves this book. I have to read Baby Dear all the time, even though she knows it by heart. This is an excellent book for any young girls reading collection.

It is a treasure for any child

My daughter cannot put it down. She is 2 1/2. For a child to be that intrigued and still be learining says alot about the book. This is the second book we have gotten. When the old one gets tattered we have another favorite.
