Movie synopsis
This sweeping romantic drama about the multiple loves of Welsh poet Dylan Thomas stars two British beauties: Keira Knightley and Sienna Miller. Vera Killick (Knightley) never really got over her romance with Thomas (Matthew Rhys of BROTHERS AND SISTERS), even though he married Caitlin (Miller) and she wed William (Cillian Murphy). With World War II on the horizon and William wearing a soldier's uniform, the characters mix love, infidelity, and danger as their lives become inextricably linked.

GREAT PRODUCT, horrible movie.

Review For: The Edge of Love (DVD, 2009)

The product itself was in PERFECT CONDITION.
I bought the movie for a friend because it came out on very limited release in the U.S. Now I understand why.

First of all, Kierra Knightly Welsh accent is indecipherable, I had to watch the movie with subtitles on, which was disappointing because she is usually so successful in dramatic period pieces. Sienna Miller was a hot mess, and not in a good way. She makes it difficult to relate to her character.
Not only was the movie far too long, (bridging almost two hours and thirty minutes), it felt like the first 45 min. was one movie and the remainder was another one entirely.
