Eat All Your Favorite Foods'”And Watch the Pounds Disappear! Two years after the runaway success of the original Eat This, Not That!, co-authors Matt and Dave noticed an interesting trend: Restaurants were actually cleaning up their menus! With consumers avoiding the country's worst calorie offenses, some restaurants saw fit to remove them from the menu entirely. Consider this: After Chili's Awesome Blossom took the runner-up spot on the "Worst Foods in America" list, Chili's removed the appetizer from their menu entirely. Pepperidge Farm followed suit after being placed on the Worst Foods list and discontinued their Roasted Chicken Pot Pie. When Jamba Juice earned a citation on the Worst Drinks in America list, the chain stopped serving the largest size of their Chocolate Moo'd smoothie and recommitted itself to becoming one of the healthiest restaurant chains in the nation. The problem is, as the old crop of calorie atrocities were eliminated, a new army of gut-bombs emerged in their place. That's why the authors created Eat This, Not That! 2010, to empower you with the knowledge to battle a food industry bent on sabotage your waistline with unwanted and unnecessary calories. In this new-and-expanded edition, you'll find fresh restaurant and supermarket comparisons, an encyclopedia of food packaging lies, and the invaluable guide to eating healthy on a budget. Essentially you'll learn how to make effortless food swaps that will help you strip away 10, 20, 30 pounds or more. Reviews
What the restaurant industry is saying about Eat, This Not That! 2010: " Eat This, Not That!provides its readers with a great service. Romano's Macaroni Grill evaluated every item on its menu for flavor and nutritional responsibility. In fact, one of the previous recipes that needed dramatic improvement, a Scallop Salad, appeared on the Eat This, Not That!segment of the March 9, 2009, Today Show. An improved Seared Sea Scallops & Fresh Spinach Salad recipe was introduced shortly thereafter in June 2009, that contains 85% less Saturated Fat and 66% fewer Calories." --Romano's Macaroni Grill - CEO Brad Blum " Eat This, Not That!has always been an industry leader in providing healthy eating/healthy living advice to diners. In order to satisfy customer demand for great tasting, on-the-go food for a healthy lifestyle, Jamba Juice has introduced several new menu options in 2009 including slow cooked oatmeal...and Grab 'n Go wraps, salads and sandwiches that contain no artificial flavors, no preservatives and no high fructose corn syrup. With Eat This, Not That! 2010, you'll never diet, never go hungryand never worry about your weight again!" --Jamba Juice - CEO James White More praise for Eat This, Not That!: "David has a whole bunch of these books. This is the brand new 2010 edition. I think these books are brilliant. I was just chitchatting with the audience and just right on the cover, there's one pizza that's 2300 calories, and one pizza that's 610 calories. I mean you just don't know and they look identical. That's the premise of this." --Rachael Ray " Eat This, Not That!is an intriguing approach to thinking about how to educate America about making smart food choices." -- Dr Mehmet Oz, on Oprah Radio " Eat This, Not That!is gonna freak the weight right off of you." -- Ellen DeGeneres "These books are a great guide to carry around and have with you whenever you're not sure what to choose." -- Oprah Winfrey on Oprah "Many big restaurant chains apparently are watching our segments and reading David Zinczenko's books, now they are responding with healthier meal options, which is good news for everyone. David highlights the best of the best with a brand new edition to the ' Eat This, Not That!' series." -- Matt Lauer, host of The Today Show

Must Have Eating Guide!

Whether or not you are watching your weight, or just want to do a better job of "eating healthier" this is the book for you! Unlike its earlier re-incarnations, this isn't a "bossy" book that would deter you from ever eating out, or dooming you to a diet rich in cardboard! It gives real life, easy changes for eating out or in, and allows for all appetites! I was very surprised at how many foods that I wrongly thought to be good choices were in actuality disasters on a bun, or plate. No need to forego flavor and fun for your dining pleasure, just tuck this essential book into your purse or briefcase to keep it handy for your next culinary adventure! You may be very surprised at what delicious food you can enjoy, knowing you are making better choices for your waistline and health. Not to mention, this book can provide stimulating conversation among family and friends while you make guesses as to whose choice at a given restaurant is the best! Enjoy! My family and I do!

Eat This Not That

This book is really useful. Not only does it list the goods and bads of many popular restaurants, but it also lists the goods and bads of supermarkets, and how to eat healthy at holidays. I highly recommend this to anyone watching their weight.

Helpful

This book actually gave me some really interesting information about what foods you should eat and what you shouldn't. Some of the foods that I used to eat were in the do not eat section and it gave me the calorie count of it and I was surprised of how many calories were actually in it. I would recommend this book to everyone who is looking for a guide of what you should and shouldn't eat.
