Such a great book! I saw the author on the Dr. Oz show a while back, & checked this book out at my local library. I started the eating plan, & it worked so well for me that I knew I needed my own copy! Most common sense eating plan I've seen, & I read A LOT of health related books.
I was really impressed with the research Joel Fuhrman put into this book. And he explains the science behind the food we ingest into an easy to read format. The recipes are a good starting point and the websites related to the book or other sites put up with vegan recipes make eating in this manner rather fail-proof. Fresh, nutritious food is so much more enjoyable than any twinkie could ever be. Ok, I don't need to pick on twinkles but, you get my point. Read the book and change your life.
Eat To Live is a good book that will get you to likeyour vegetables, because you will lose weight, I have lost over 10 pounds so far and I just started a week and a halh ago.
And if you watch the movie " FOOD INC" it will help with the transition and another good movie to watch is " fat,sick and nearly dead" http://www.fatsickandnearlydead.com/ It seems to be a very strict plan but you can eat as much as you wantof salads etc.. no carbs for the first 6 weeks but you will lose weight.
This is truly an amazing book. Very scientific and informative. I would recommend this book to anyone with any health issue. I would recommend this book to anyone who does not have health issues, but would just like to be healthier. I purchased this book after reading only the first chapter of my sister's copy. I had to have a copy for myself. The best part about it is the testimonials from people who have personally benefitted from the program. The worst part about it is that I couldn't put it down. This book is by far the best 'get healthy' book I've ever read, because it is not about dieting, it is about getting healthy. I give this book 2 thumbs up and 5 stars.
My Phys. Therapist suggested I buy this book. Hopefully, it will help in my weight loss. So far, so good.
