Movie synopsis
An after-school favorite of young viewers throughout the late-1980s, DUCKTALES chronicled the wacky adventures of millionaire Scrooge McDuck (a relative of Donald Duck) and his mischievous feathered nephews Huey, Dewey, and Louie. As Scrooge constantly thinks up new ways to expand his wealth, the boys help out by guarding his gold from the villainous Beagle Boys. With each episode, the gang finds itself immersed in a new series of animated journeys, often in search of glistening treasure. While Scrooge may be protective of his wallet, he also develops a soft spot for the young ducks Donald Duck left in his care after joining the Navy. Often joining in for the ride are frequent characters like Gyro Gearloose, Mrs. Beakley, Webbigail Vanderquack, and of course the Beagle Boys.

Disney TV

Review For: Ducktales - Volume 1 (DVD, 2005, 3-Disc Set)

When I was younger I used to see DuckTales a lot on the afternoons. I love the duck family of Disney and this one it is based in Carl Bark's famous comic books series.
Now, Disney TV quality is not comparable to movie quality or direct to video... the quality ok , some animations are really nice ( maybe done in Disney Australia or Canada or japan) but the rest it is done in some other low quality places... I know that beacuse I am a classic animator and I have been working on the field for many years...
But anyway... the presentation of this dvd set is nice and if u don't mind much about animation quality... get this product and enjoy it!!!

Ducktales Vol 1

The color sequences are a real eye catcher with younger children. A 2 thumb up program. My son and allo his friends rush home from school to watch this DVD series now.

RE-Connect with the DUCKTALES

Okay, watching the ducktales after 15 or so years really brings the nostaligia back. This was by far my favorite cartoon growing up and it hasnt lost a touch since. I highly recommend involving kids with this cartoon, its a good life lesson teacher while not complicating their mind too much. What else could you expect from Disney in the late 80's?

Wonderful Collection

When I was a kids I loved Ducktales. My three children saw an old video of an episode and loved it. So I thought I would check ebay and I found it, bought it and just like me they love it. It is a very good collection of all the episodes of Ducktales and I highly reccomend it. The price was great and it was brand new.

A Childhood nostaglia MUST!

At first I was confused, cause Volume 1 strangly doesn't have the first five episodes that were originally a TV special. I later found out that the first parts "Golden Sun" were put on the Volume 2 DVD set. Other than that little surprise, I LOVE that I purchased this. DuckTales was a big part of my childhood. Each and every episode has a creative adverture!!

And let's not forget that it has the catchiest theme song of ALL TIME!!
