This In dash receiver is awesome ! i installed it in my 1998 plymouth voyager(bit difficult for me cause i didn't use wire harness:( ) but all in one, this stereo gives very good sound effect(even with just volume on 20, you can hear song outside of my van) , I like music plying in car, sometimes i played loud music,so far i spent $93 in my plymouth voyager, i installed this receiver and 4 boss speakers(factory speakers sucks, so i need to change new one)
-good value for money
-the blue light display is awesome, it just lightens your car without needing new LEDS in car
-USB,SD card function is ease to use
- no cd player, so it's very light weighted
- no time display
- no track display, it doesn't show up track's name, so you will not able to see track's name
but this cons are nothing compared to what you are getting, really nice, cheap and wonderful product !
i repaced my 97' f-150 factory unit with the xr4110 because of its digital capabilities and didn't want anything fancy, well
nothing fancy about this unit. it's as plain as they get but
functions well, i've used the usb port and it works well, i
have yet to use the sd slot. i suppose it will work equally well,
the tuner has excellant reception. my only issues with this unit
are the backlight don't dim with the dash lights, and it's way too bright after dark almost blinding, the unit is concideribly
under powered i installed an eq booster and it helped a bunch.
I've had this radio installed in my 1993 Chevy pickup truck for about 6 months. It is not a high end car stereo, but it is an excellent buy if you need the features this unit offers. Good AM/FM reception, there is no CD player in this unit, which makes this unit not as deep as a normal car stereo and allows for installations where other car stereos won't fit. It has front panel inputs for a SD Card, thumb drive and stereo jack, I've used this radio with my iphone and although its kind of clumsy for handsfree operation, there were no issues with playing music from my phone.
There is just one real annoyance with this unit, the blue backlit display is bright and I find it is a distraction at night. Unfortunately there is no way to adjust the brightness of the display. Otherwise not much to complain about for the price.
This deck is at the Low end of the Digital Media Receivers on the market right now , and I'm sure as they gain greater acceptance within the Car Audio Market They will be considered an Avaunt-guard Classic .
It would be better if it had a 4 channel or 5.1 option .
But given the Price this is a Great little Unit .
For what it is compared to what it costs, it,s decent. Won't be able to crank because it's only 15w but, hooked to a set of 15w speakers, they sound okay. Can't beat the price for a unit that does SD, USB, & audio jack. w/ preamp outputs in the back, $40.00, can't beat it. Overall I would say it's a good bargain.
