|This sequel to 2009's Dragon Age follows the rise of a penniless refugee named Hawke as he (or she, depending on the gender you choose when starting the game) gains fame and fortune by undertaking a number of heroic or potentially ruthless acts over the course of ten years. Scarred by the destruction of his home, Hawke will join forces with a number of colorful characters to defeat the darkspawn infesting the land. The storytelling is notable for adopting a frame narrative structure, with a narrator recounting Hawke's achievements with varying levels of authenticity.|
Your decisions will ultimately help shape Hawke's future, starting with his skills as a mage, rogue, or warrior, and influence the narrator's story. Hawke can enlist the help of three companions during the game, and as in the original Dragon Age, characters will converse with each other and some can even be romanced. Additional combat mechanics have been incorporated into the battle phase, and a new visual style is included to enhance the third-person RPG's presentation. The principal setting for the game is Kirkwall, a region surrounded by mountains and home to corrupt politics, shantytowns, and other surprises.
The Signature Edition of Dragon Age II includes several bonuses apart from the game. You'll receive a war hound pet that can be summoned into battle, access to a secret underground magic and crafting shop, and the following in-game items for your character: the Lion of Orlais shield, the Fadeshear sword, and the Mirror of Transformation. The latter item lets you freely customize your character's appearance simply by gazing into its reflection. To receive the content found in the Signature Edition for no additional cost, you must pre-order the game before March 8, 2011.

Very fun game. Not as much to do as with Dragon age Origins but still a great buy. Not as RPG as DA:O either but his probably best summed as a RPG/Action game mix. Same back story and history with a great depth of race and location origin backstory and way better graphics than the first one. Long story short it is worth a play and if you liked the first one you'll probably like the second one. The main character also has a voice now which is added bonus. The DLC is not worth the money on its own so getting it included in the game is definitely a plus.
Dragin Age 2 Signature Edition is a must buy for Dragin Age Origins fans. DA2, however, is quite a bit different than its predecessor. The game feels more "linear" in the sense that it just isn't as open as Origins. Overall, the game just doesn't have the same feel.
Combat is more visceral and responsive but also feels less strategic. Characters look prettier but feel less authentic.
Its great to continue on the Dragon Age story but DA2 feels more like Mass Effect 2 with medevil skins. If you loved the first one you may be a bit off put, just give it time. If you're new to the series you'll probably love it!
This game is awesome! If you enjoyed the first one you may be disappointed with the story but the improved battle system and new class leveling is cool. The fights are just as grand but the game seemed rushed after the first to make money i.e. they tried to cash in on the popularity. A must buy if you love the first Dragon Age.
Everything about it is great!!! Appeals to all types of gamers!!! BAttles are more fluid than previous Dragon Age game but I feel it suits the series better. ALso it is more cinematic than previous entry.
The game is good, but I'm just a little upset that the game isn't like the first Dragon Age. The story is still good and I still enjoy playing the Dragon Age story.
